Inspiration

Having got engaged in Rome, Italy was the only choice for this couples big day, a beautiful black and white wedding in the Tuscan countryside! The bride looked amazing in an Enzoani dress, the first dress that she tried on in fact, and the groom looked incredibly dapper in a tux! The couple said their 'I Do's' in a traditional little church that was decorated in white flowers and lit up with candles, so romantic! Followed by hours of eating fantastic Italian food, drinking delicious drinks and spending time with family and friends...and not forgetting the gelato, always time for a tasty treat, especially in Italy!

What Made Our Day Unique

The wedding villa and its settings were just breath-taking, we knew we had to get married there as soon as we arrived, and all of our family and bridal party were able to stay in the villa taking over the whole place which made the wedding so easy and relaxed. Our ceremony took place in the villa’s original family chapel, a gorgeous old chapel that only fits 35 people (we squeezed in 56!). Having a traditional long Italian aperitivo was also such a nice addition. Seeing all of our guests enjoying the jazz band, the amazing view, and grazing through the incredible display of Italian delicacies was really special. We went for everything, including a traditional ham carver, balls of fresh burrata, a huge parmesan wheel, and a gelato trike, with bellinis, Aperol Spritz, and obviously lots of prosecco!

Black And White Wedding

The day was a very classic black and white wedding, including white flowers and tuxedos, however, the romantic pink bespoke bridesmaid dresses and the landscapes of Tuscany provided pops of colour for the day and with hints of gold the day looked super chic. The day was lit up with hundreds of candles, the dinner area was surrounded with them as well as festoon lighting, amazing chandeliers hanging from the trees above and guests held sparklers as the couple enjoyed their first dance. An exquisite venue and a beautifully romantic wedding, and the car looks super cute!

Inspiration & Styling

The style was romantic, classic, antique, with a bit of Italian glamour! I chose a very minimal colour palette and wanted minimal decorations, as the venue and setting was already so beautiful and spoke for itself. I also wanted to bring the indoors outside, with antique mirrors as signage, photo frames, and big antique glass chandeliers hanging in the trees outside. The décor also had an Italian vibe, with a gorgeous vintage Fiat 500, an old Italian window shutter we restored and used as a table plan, and a super chic antique gelato trike! We hired the most amazing jazz band to play Italian jazz classics such as That’s Amore whilst our guests enjoyed the Italian food. We really just wanted everyone to have the best day, they’d all flown out to Italy to be there to celebrate with us, and we wanted them to have a really relaxed, enjoyable day, full of great food, wine and company.
