What Made Our Day Unique
We knew that we wanted a “destination” wedding, and although we live in the UK now, most of our guests would be coming from the United States so it definitely a destination wedding for them! It was easier for us to find a venue, visit a few times and coordinate with vendors by keeping it in the UK. We liked the idea of a traditional English Manor House so we looked for one that could house a large number of our family and friends for the weekend. Brympton was the perfect fit! It has beautiful grounds, unique indoor spaces, lots of room for people to stay, and as it was already such a stunning space, we knew we wouldn’t have to decorate very much for the day.
Blue Bridesmaid Dresses
It's safe to say that the whole bridal party looked exquisite for this celebration and the blue bridesmaid dresses were a definate winner, suiting each bridesmaid perfectly! A fit and flare lace wedding dress was the outfit of choice for the gorgeous bride with the groom looking equally dashing in a classic pale grey suit. Not so traditional though, were the 'Groom's Godesses' as this couple called them, who unlike the bridal party in blue, wore grey dresses to match the rest of the groomsmen! What a unique idea!Inspiration & Styling
Early on we knew we wanted to go with a nice neutral palette, something that complimented the green foliage, white flowers, and beautiful spaces. Anna loved the idea of having the bridesmaids dressed in a steel blue, and although it was tricky to find dress styles that everyone liked in the same shade, it all worked out in the end. Shane and his groomsmen went with light grey suits which fit the English manor setting really well. It was a little tough to find light grey dresses for the groomswomen or “Grooms Goddesses” as we called them but we found some that were close enough to look good on the day.
