Inspiration

Well, we are seriously swooning over this romantic Bordeaux wedding! With its rustic barn vibes, summer setting, and a backdrop view of vineyards and trees, this is truly the stuff of dreams. Deciding to marry in the south of France, Hayley & Bradley chose the Domaine De Rouchon, a beautiful family home with a stunning driveway, lined by poplar trees. Their day included 100 of their closest friends and family, giving the day an intimate and relaxed atmosphere. With a champagne reception on the patio, and a wedding breakfast shaded by the bright and beautiful marquee, the wedding party was simply moved from one stunning setting to the next! With the sun shining brightly all day, guests were able to dip their toes in the pool and enjoy a little moment of relaxation amongst the festivities. Their night ended with dancing, partying, and plenty of laughter – we can seriously feel the love!

What Made Your Day Unique

Our day was perfect. we were the first to get married at the venue and were so pleased so many people travelled to France to celebrate with us. The bride knew the area and has always said that part of France is her spiritual home. Domaine de Rouchon is a beautiful family home, with a stunning driveway of poplar trees and each visit brings a sense of wonder and relaxation as you approach the house. This is something the bride and groom experienced on every visit and they were so pleased that their guest were able to experience that feeling with them at their wedding.

Bordeaux Wedding Venue

When planning a destination wedding it helps to have a little knowledge of the place! Hayley & Bradley were lucky in that Hayley knew the area well (referring to it as her spiritual home!) Google was also their friend; many of their suppliers were chosen through searches and recommendations from the owners of the venue. They also chose to hire a wedding planner who spoke fluent French and English, ensuring they were able to communicate with suppliers and coordinate perfectly on the day. As much as we’re all about doing it yourself, it truly helps to have the experts around you to lend a helping hand when necessary.

Inspiration & Styling

We had 100 guests, all close friends and family and the day had a relaxed, intimate vibe to it. The marriage took place in the shaded barn and some photos and drone footage was taken outside the front of the house. The wedding party moved to the patio for the champagne reception and the wedding breakfast took place under the marquees under the lawn. it was hot with lots of sunshine and some guests enjoyed the pool. The beautiful stone house is set against the backdrop of a river on one side and vineyards and tall green trees on the other so we chose a rustic style in keeping with the setting.
