Martina and Paul brought personality to their boho wedding in droves. From Martina's incredibly stylish bridal skirt, right through to the contemporary stationery designs made by the bride herself. You'll also notice gold pineapples, greenery garlands and the twinkling lights of the Stone Barn wedding venue, all adding to the delightful atmosphere of this country wedding.
What Made Our Day Unique
Cripps Stone Barn as a venue suited the vibe we wanted for our wedding perfectly, whilst also meaning we could have the ceremony and reception all in one place. The industrial style of the Dutch barn really matched with the laid back atmosphere we wanted for the day. We kept it simple with steak and chips cooked on the biggest indoor BBQ in the UK, which was a hit with the guests. We had a lot of personal design touches made by Martina throughout the venue – it was an expression of our personality and creativity.
Bridal Skirt
Sound the alarms because real bride Martina's Halfpenny London bridal skirt is an absolute knockout. The layers of tulle forming the pretty petal design is truly exquisite. Swaying beautifully in the wind and perfect for this boho wedding in the Cotswolds. Martina completes her look with a cap sleeve top and flower crown, and together with her groom and bridesmaids, they are pure wedding goals.Inspiration & Styling
The vibe was super chilled and laid back - Paul has a big family and we didn't want the wedding to be too formal. As for the styling - the colour scheme was green, white and gold with quirky touches such as pineapple plant stands and cactus vases, a handmade A-Board sign built by Paul's very hands, a sweet table and marshmallows and sparklers for the fire pits after dark. For the flowers, we kept it simple with mainly eucalyptus and wax flowers. All of the stationery and design bits were all done by Martina as she is a graphic designer and runs a stationery business.
Martina and Paul used the RMW directory, The List, to find some of their wedding suppliers including their photographers, Through The Woods We Ran. They also visited our website daily for lots of wedding inspiration and advice from our real wedding and wedding ideas features.
