It’s such a treat to share these dresses with you all today – firstly because they are simply gorgeous and the whole shoot is a dream. Secondly, because designer Caroline Campion is just lovely. And thirdly, because we’re loving the NZ vibe at the moment following the All Blacks win at the Rugby World Cup…yes, we’re big rugby fans. And it has nothing to do with Dan Carter. Nothing at all. (Ok, ok, maybe it does a little bit)…
We first featured one of Caroline’s Bridal designs a little while ago – the stunning Jeanette wore a bespoke design for her big day and couldn’t speak more highly of Caroline.
So we were very excited to hear that Caroline’s bridesmaids range (and soon her Bridal range too) are available for delivery in the UK and Europe. We’re in love with the muted colours and the lightweight silk material just looks so luxurious. The other genius thing about the designs is that they are separates, so can be styled and worn in numerous ways following the big day – making them such a treat for your best girls. Pretty please can you lovely RMW readers order some dresses from Caroline? I’d just love to see them on the blog for a real wedding!! I’m hoping you’ll all fall for them as much as I have…
Bridal Designer Caroline Campion: Susannah Blatchford Photography and I recently collaborated with a group of fresh young Christchurch (New Zealand) brands to create a bridal shoot capturing our inner city’s exciting new beginnings, following a large earthquake in 2011. Our city is brimming with creativity and is now using the opportunity to redesign itself as something quite remarkable.
A Construction Site
The back drop to our shoot is the construction site of one of our city’s oldest character buildings nearing its reopening as a lively eclectic hospitality hub. The unexpected teaming with flowing silk dresses, whimsical floral arrangements and rustic styling, has created a series of edgy and unique images.
Featured are relaxed bridal gowns and silk two-piece bridesmaid dresses from Caroline Campion’s new collection. The bridesmaid range, available for delivery to the UK and Europe, are natural and flattering not only for the wedding day but as wearable separates after. In 2016 the bridal collection will also be open for online orders.
Susannah Blatchford loves to travel and has shot relaxed documentary style weddings across the UK and Europe. Her eye for detail and natural relaxed images create stunning photographic memories.
Flowerhead produce the most beautiful and original bridal bouquets, and this shoot’s soft muted arrangements have been designed to complement the dress colours. The fusion of industrial meets rustic styling by Cressy Lane has masterfully tied everything in together.
Ronda from NSpyre Red Hair is an expert at creating any look you can imagine, her rock chic style created for our shoot was perfectly complimentary and enhanced the statement Meadowlark jewellery provided by Rouche.
