Inspiration

As Katy Perry once sang "California girls, they're unforgettable" which is certainly the case with bride Mindy in her two knockout bridal outfits. Donning Noel & Jean separates with beautiful lace-up back detail for the outdoor ceremony and an exquisite Rue de Seine boho gown for the reception on the ranch. Now, if anybody is thinking of having a California wedding, count me in!

What Made Our Day Unique

Drew and I both wanted our wedding to reflect our relationship and keep the day simple, casual, and fun. We wanted to throw the best party for our family and friends, and fill the day with great food (including late-night In N Out!), booze, and music that was meaningful to us. I'll never forget the moment when Drew surprised me by playing a song with his brother on guitar. It was the single greatest moment of my wedding day. Drew had told me years earlier that he always dreamed of playing for his future wife on their wedding day, but he never mentioned it again. So when he started playing "Springsteen" by Eric Church - one of the first country songs he ever showed me - I melted. I'd never felt more in love than I did at that very moment.

California Wedding

We love getting the opportunity to cross the Atlantic ocean and see how our American friends enjoy their nuptials. Today's California wedding took place on a ranch in Petaluma and has blown us away from start to finish. The drapes and greenery decorating the reception look both bohemian and elegant, plus there are many more delicious details to swoon over. Be sure to look out for the acrylic signs, wooden signs and adorable favours too.

Great advice from Mindy & Drew - "Remember who you are and what you want. Don't feel pressured to do something just because it is what other people commonly do. For example, we skipped the champagne toast because both my husband and I don't drink champagne! That alone saved us $1,500 in the planning process!"
