Inspiration

Oh my gosh, this wedding is just sooooo pretty. Sophisticated vintage glamour, beautiful pastel flowers, exceptional details, and gorgeous Chi Chi Bridesmaid dresses. Carina the bride looks sensational in Morilee and is wearing the most fabulous shoes too. You know we love a good bridal accessory. We are super pleased to spot three RMW The List's official suppliers in this stunner of a wedding. Morden Hall as the venue, Carina's divine veil by Britten Weddings and the elegant cake by Designer Cakes by Elle. Enjoy lovelies! It's such an elegant wedding...

Carina the Bride : Tom and I met at University in 2008 and have been together ever since. After getting engaged in December 2015 we set the date for a summer 2017 wedding giving us 18 months to plan our special day.

The Proposal

Morden Hall was the third venue we saw but both Tom and I fell in love with it on our show around. Tucked away within the leafy grounds of a National Trust park, you would never know you were in London. We had our ceremony in the Willow room and our wedding breakfast in the Mulberry room. Baby ducklings shared our canapé receptions with us out on the lawn. I was also lucky enough to get ready in the beautiful bridal suite.

The Dress and Accessories

I initially came across an image of my Morilee by Madeline Gardner dress on Instagram and fell in love with the scalloped edge train and low back straight away. I always knew I wanted a veil and ordered a silk tulle cathedral length veil from Britten which I wore with a hair comb purchased from Notonthehighstreet. My shoes were from the bridal range at Dune, I was instantly sold by the embellished ribbon straps.

Hair and makeup: I ended up finding both my hair and makeup artist on Instagram. Brooke from Vanity Lounge transformed my hair into Hollywood waves and created lovely soft updos for the bridesmaids and Grace Kelly did a fantastic job with our makeup.

Bridesmaids

The bridesmaids wore blush pink prom style dresses from Chi Chi teamed with rose gold heels and accessories.

Stationery

Ellie from Silk Beau designed our save the dates and invitations. She was so helpful throughout the designing process and they were fantastic quality.

Cake and Ice Cream

Our cake was made by Designer Cakes by Elle. Just like the flowers, we noticed she had made cakes for other weddings at Morden Hall and booked in for a tasting. We went along with lots of different photos and ideas for inspiration and Elle did a great job of incorporating our different ideas into one cake.

Elle created us a beautiful 4 tier cake which we reluctantly cut on our wedding day!

We hired Plum Honeychurch and her ice-cream tricycle to serve ice-cream during our drinks and canapé reception, it was a big hit with both children and adults and was a surprise for our guests on the day.

Flowers

Flowers were always an expense I knew I didn't want to cut corners on.

Rhubarb and Bramley are local florists who do a lot of weddings at Morden Hall so we knew we were in good hands. My bouquet was made up of hydrangeas, roses and eucalyptus and they created smaller versions of my bouquet for my bridesmaids.
