Inspiration

A beautifully romantic Catherine Deane wedding dress was the centre of attention for this Cambridgeshire celebration at South Farm. An Autumn wedding with the Groom looking super smart and seasonal in his navy tweed suit for the rustic country wedding. And it wasn't just the guests who enjoyed the Bride & Groom's company that day...check out the four-legged wedding crashers, those piglets certainly added the cute factor to the day!

What Made Our Day Unique

"This is so hard - so many elements of our wedding pop back into my mind; our friends and family, our suppliers, the amazing staff at the venue...! Our friends and family were amazing at being so supportive in the lead up to our wedding and helping on the day. Our suppliers completely blew our expectations, it’s as though each of them saw the vision in our heads and made it a reality.

We can’t thank South Farm enough for their amazing attention to detail and organisation; this speaks straight to my heart and eased the pressure and stress of organising a wedding for me, which in turn my husband is forever grateful for! " - Annalisa & Matthew

Catherine Deane Wedding Dress

The Catherine Deane wedding dress - who features as one of our handpicked suppliers in our directory - is beautifully detailed with opaque capped sleeves and delicate beading, complimenting the seasonal colour palette, red bridesmaid dresses and spectacular Tudor barn. The romantic dress was accompanied by an acoustic version of ‘Is this Love’ (originally by Bob Marley) as the bride walked down the aisle to greet her equally well dressed and very dashing groom and husband-to-be!

Inspiration & Styling

Seasonal - 1. Groom & groomsmen in a tweed suit in the height of summer didn’t seem like a good idea! And 2. – we love autumn; the colours, the romantic light of dusk, the ideal weather (we were very lucky with the latter on our day!) Our key words for the styling was ‘foliage’ and ‘flowers’; we wanted to surround everyone with the romantic colours of autumn. This is where Noeleen and Alice (now collectively set up as Wonderology UK) stepped in and took our vision and made it the most beautiful reality with extra little touches we hadn’t even thought of.

It’s hard to know when to start planning and what time line to follow in the process! When do you send your save the dates out? When do you need to go dress shopping? "Take your time. Start planning as early as you like. Remember it’s about you two so don’t let too many opinions & expectations from others worry you!” - Annalisa. We have a whole page dedicated to wedding planning for you to help you along the way, aswell as a podcast episode covering all things wedding planning and to make sure the groom feels included we even have a podcast episode of wedding planning from the Grooms perspective!
