Inspiration

A super relaxed wedding filled with homegrown pompom dahlias, chalkboard wedding signs and even a vintage bus which was the perfect transport for the guests, to this outdoor marquee reception by The Marquee Company Limited. The homemade decorations made this couples day even more personal and became a real team effort with friends and family helping out a week before the wedding to get everything set up. As you will see the bride looked amazing in a two-piece wedding gown topped off with a floral hair decoration and paired with her bridesmaids blush dresses. This late summer picture-perfect wedding was captured was by Maree Frances Photography.

WHAT MADE OUR DAY UNIQUE

"We loved having the party at Tom's parents house in the field - it meant we could choose everything ourselves and do lots of prep beforehand! So many people helped out it felt like a week long wedding rather than one day." - Josie & Tom

Chalkboard Wedding Signs

The flowers and decorations were a huge part of this wedding, sticking with the homemade, locally sourced theme this couple opted for chalkboard wedding signs throughout the ceremony and dotted about at the reception. They worked so well as the main entrance sign, the table plan and even for the outdoor summer games. The bride created an inspiration board which was perfect to keep everyone on the same page when helping out, I'm sure you will agree that overall this beautiful wedding with lots of natural colours and DIY decorations is made complete by the flowers, all of the dahlias and cosmos were homegrown by the couple's family and arranged by the bride and her bridesmaids the night before the big day.

INSPIRATION & STYLING

"Late summer colours, flowers and decorations. I chose the time of year for the Dahlias! I wanted it to be super relaxed and nothing too formal, lots of natural colours with antique and home made decorations." - Josie & Tom
