Inspiration

This couple always wanted to wed in France so the vineyards and beautiful gardens of Chateau Rigaud provided the most perfect backdrop for them! The day was jam-packed with personal touches, from the gin sourced from significant places to the couple to the stationery designed by the bride's sister and the vintage wedding car that was lovingly restored by the bride's father and loaned to the couple for their big day! Greenery filled the botanical themed destination wedding with plants and succulents littering the beautiful venue, guests later took these potted plants home to keep in their houses to remind them of the special day - what a thoughtful touch!

What Made Our Day Unique

We both loved the idea of having a wedding in France, a place which holds lots of fond memories for us, it also meant that we could spend a full weekend with our family/friends. We incorporated a little bit of us into every aspect of the day. From the three gins sourced from distilleries located in places that have played a significant role in our lives, to our grandstand entrance at the wedding breakfast to the iconic sound of House of Pain's "Jump Around". The weekend was filled with little touches that represent us and our journey as a couple.

Chateau Rigaud

The outdoor ceremony was held in the gardens of Chateau Rigaud overlooking the lush green vineyards with the bride walking down the aisle in a simple but stunning Pronovias wedding dress. Following the nuptials, the guests enjoyed amazing drinks, including specially selected gin & tonics, oysters and other delicious canapes in the French sun. Before moving indoors for dinner where they were greeted with foliage chandeliers, disco balls and a croquembouche!

Inspiration & Styling

Our vision was brought to life by the wonderful Poppy at Wild Flourish Designs. Poppy completely understood that we wanted our day to be understated and classic with a botanical twist. We've had so many happy holidays exploring the French countryside, so our brief was to 'bring the outside in'. The venue was covered with free-flowing luscious greenery, potted plants/succulents and dramatic foliage-covered chandeliers. All of the stationary was complimentary and produced by my talented sister Ami Lou Harrison. After the wedding we gave out the potted plants and they still live on in our family and friends homes!
