Inspiration

Our gorgeous Bride & Groom have known each other since they were 13, making the bond between family and friends extra strong. The fact that they held their wedding at home in Chloe's parents garden made it even more personal with Bride Chloe even using the homegrown flowers from her parents garden to make her gorgeous bouquet. RMW faves PapaKåta supplied the gorgeous Sperry Tent reception, that is full to the brim with even more fabulous pink florals by Susie Hart Florist. Each display different, but totally epic and certainly giving the WOW factor. As well as Chloe & Charlie looking absolutely gorgeous in their classic country attire, I think a huge appreciation needs to go out to pug Aggie and her bloomsey collar too. What a gorgeous summer wedding.

The Dress

Chloe the Bride: I wore a Delphine Manivet dress with my grandmothers diamond earrings and watch, simple silver sandals from Whistles and I changed into wedges for dancing after dinner. I had flowers in my hair from Susie Hart Florist and lots of Jo Malone scent.

Florist

My bouquet flowers were taken from the garden and my daddy's scented roses along with herbs etc, all Susie Hart's idea. We had centerpieces of various designs for maximum impact and brought the large arrangements from the church to sit on the bar in the marquee.

Decor

I ordered personalised bunting from LA on Etsy with our names and date. I saw blue toile tablecloths and hot pink flowers on Pinterest and was inspired, Charlie's Step-Mummy found the fabric and had it made into tablecloths.

Stationery

The seating plan, table numbers, menus and drinks illustrations on the bar were all designed by Julie Annis Hollyhock Lane. Julie also designed our beautiful invitations, rsvp cards, and orders of service, featuring my elderly but much loved pug, Aggie.

Venue

Our venue home(!) with a wonderful Sperry tent by PapaKåta. The garden was in full bloom thanks to my parents tirelessly gardening and watering.

Food

Our caterer was the Yorkshire Party Company, and we had breast of guinea fowl stuffed with fresh herbs wrapped in prociutto and served on a basil and parmesan risotto finished with asparagus spears and salsa verde, followed by lemon and fine posset cream with crushed raspberries and topped with lemon shortbreads. It was delicious.

Bridesmaids

Maid of honour Polly had beautiful navy dress from The Reformation which I shipped from the US, and the Flower girls wore dresses made in Liberty fabric by Millie Crawford of Peak Princess.

Groomsmen

Charlie wore a Gieves and Hawkes morning suit with Church's loafers the groomsmen wore morning dress. We bought them all ties from Jermyn Street so they were matching but in various colours.”

Photography & Videographer

Helen and Motiejus were absolutely fantastic and we absolutely adore our photographs! Adam Nicholas was great. It took us a while to find a videographers we liked the style of...but we loved Adam's work.

Ceremony

We had the Ogden Nash poem and an Apache wedding blessing along with our favourite hymns. The wonderful choir the Yorkshire Decibelles sang John Cooper Clarke's I Wanna Be Yours recently covered by the Arctic Monkeys.

Our Story

We met each other at school when they were just 13 years old. Growing up together meant there was a strong bond between all friends and family and the atmosphere throughout the day was fantastic! Charlie proposed to me in Formentera in September last year and since then we've managed to organise a gorgeous country wedding in my childhood home in Aldborough.
