Inspiration

Clear blue skies and a pastel blue colour scheme to match, make this a delightful coastal wedding in Devon. Add an open-sided stretch tent marquee reception, DIY decor and a couple so evidently in love with one another and their surroundings, and you have the ultimate Summer wedding to swoon over.

What Made Our Day Unique

-We decided on a church wedding (the same church where my parents got married, 39 years earlier). The reception venue started as an empty field with no running water or electricity! This meant we had to plan every detail of the day ourselves! Our caterers cooked three huge paella dishes outside - this was a real hit with the guests! When marrying a Cornish man, the evening food was, of course, going to be cornish pasties!

Coastal Wedding

Felicity and Luke were able to extend their coastal wedding celebrations over three days because let's face it who doesn't want to spend a whole weekend with their loved ones. As well as their beautiful marquee wedding reception there was a recovery BBQ the next day, followed by a stroll (and dip for those brave enough) along the beach. They glamped in a bell tent on the cliff's edge, and enjoyed toasting marshmallows and sharing bubbly reminiscing about their wonderful wedding. Sounds like an absolute dream doesn't it?!

Inspiration & Styling

Having got engaged (with the most incredible aquamarine ring!) on the tidal beach at Kynance Cove we wanted to keep a coastal theme throughout our day. We decided on having a relaxed marquee wedding overlooking the sea. The bridesmaid's dresses, wedding cake and even my shoes were sea blue! Our table names were all beaches from around the world that we had travelled to together and welcome drinks were served from a boat. Lots of our family and friends camped in the wedding field that night and as we didn't want to miss out on the fun, the bridal suite was a bell tent closest to the sea.

Felicity and Luke's favourite moment of the day was arriving at the wedding field in their VW Beetle. As they arrived they could see all of their friends and family waiting outside the marquee to greet them. This gorgeous moment and many more were all captured to perfection by recommended supplier Lizzie Churchill Photography. Although here at Rock My Wedding we love candid, documentary-style photography there are definitely some photographs we think every wedding should have captured.
