The magpie in us is absolutely loving all the copper wedding decor at today's industrial wedding at The West Mill wedding venue. All cleverly crafted by the bride's stepfather don't you know! Plus have you see the booze bath? Such a fun bay to display your chosen tipple, and of course the copper frame and acrylic sign fitting in beautifully with the copper theme. After losing her father recently, bride Vicky flies solo down the aisle towards her beau, absolutely killing it in a Charlie Brear gown with cute bow back detail, plus many more adorable wedding moments to feast your eyes upon.

What Made Our Day Unique

My day was unique as I chose an industrial-style wedding venue. As soon as I saw it, I fell in love with it. Our wedding was over the Christmas period so we needed a venue that suited our day if the weather was horrible. The West Mill consisted of 4 Floors which allowed every part of our day to be split over them. It meant if the weather was horrible then we had a huge amount of space to work with. All our guests loved moving from one level to the next as the day went on. My day was extra unique as I made the decision to walk down the aisle on my own as my father had passed away not so long ago. I didn't want anyone else to take his place and felt that it was an honour to him, we also had a balloon release that meant a lot to me and my family.

Copper Wedding Decor

When you have talented friends and family we definitely think you should make the most of their skills and ask them to build, bake or entertain on your big day. Bride Vicky certainly took full advantage of her step Dad's skills, who cleverly crafted the wedding favours, table centrepieces, number holders and copper hearts for the windows, beautifully tying together Vicky's passion for all things copper and hence inspiring the copper wedding decor theme for their industrial wedding. Add a few well placed white and green flowers, and a fabulous ribbon backdrop and your pinning fingers are going to be going crazy!

Just like Vicky, when I got engaged, I couldn't wait to start planning and felt like I wanted and needed EVERYTHING. But as Vicky rightly points out as time goes on, reality strikes and you realise you don't need everything, just a few of your favourite things to make it special to you. Set your budget, prioritise what's important to you both as a couple and stick to your plan as best you can. If you need a little help allocating your budget, we've popped together an article as a starting block. You're welcome.
