What Made Our Day Unique
The beauty of Trevenna as a venue is that a number of guests and family can stay the night before. Knowing that both the bridal and groom party were all staying added to the excitement because everyone was around in the lead-up, whilst still keeping the bride and groom separate of course! Plus having everything under one roof meant that when the morning arrived we were completely confident everything was ready. We wanted different dimensions to the day and luckily the weather pulled through so we were able to maximise the space, having the ceremony space separate to the dining area (which wasn't revealed until the afternoon) and also use outside to break it up. The venue was a blank canvas so it meant we created the whole look and feel for the day.
Cornwall Wedding
Helen & Richard booked the gorgeous Trevenna barn wedding venue first and everything just fell into place from that point. They knew they wanted a Cornwall wedding and narrowed down the location by getting a road map and physically marking where all the Cornish venues were. Once they visited Trevenna they instantly knew it was the one for them, ticking all the boxes for what they had envisaged their day would be. Including all the little decor and details of sequin table runners, hanging paper lanterns and the gorgeous countryside for all those killer wedding portraits by Nick Walker.Wedding Inspiration
The venue and dress then flowers were the main inspiration for the style, these really set the vision for everything that followed. So from this point, I visualised how everything would work with this. Pinterest was useful for ideas for the little details and we spent a lot of time on those. People focus on the big things but I wanted all the fine details to work too and enjoyed pulling all the elements together for the overall effect. I had an idea of colours and stuck quite rigidly to these to not over complicate things. This also helped with decision making.
Helen & Richard said they found choosing music really hard as they couldn't have anything religious because their venue was not a church.
