Today's classic country wedding comes from Pimm's wedding dash winners Jade & Daniel. Who also won an incredible £8,000 towards wedding services from our very own handpicked wedding supplier directory The List. We absolutely love how they chose to spend their winnings. Most noteworthy was choosing The Dawdling Duck so they could provide guests with a FREE bar. Absolute genius! So, we feel that Good Friday should be spent swooning over this country wedding.
BUDGET
Our wedding budget was £25,000 although we were also incredibly lucky to have the benefit of an additional £8,000 via RMW. The List.
We chose pale blue and champagne gold for our colour scheme to compliment the décor at Wadhurst Castle and tied this into our cake, decorations, bridesmaids’ dresses and usher’s ties. Wadhurst Castle has some beautiful features – our favourite of which is the Winter Garden, which was the venue for our bar. The Winter Garden is filled with leafy tropical plants and The Dawdling Duck’s set-up looked amazing in this environment decorated with foliage and floral garlands from Daisy Ellen. Daisy Ellen created stunning floral arrangements for us comprised of light blue Delphinium, peach Juliet roses, white O Hara Roses, blush pink Astilbe and cream Café Au Lait Dahlia with foliage including Eucalyptus in soft green and grey tones. We used low table arrangements for our Wedding Breakfast to allow the conversation to flow and labelled each arrangement as a gift for our female relatives and the bridesmaids to take away at the end of the night.
Country Wedding
There's nothing like escaping to the country. Especially when you get to say I do to your beau in an idyllic setting surrounded by your favourites. Jade and Daniel's classic attire couldn't be more fitting for the occasion too. With Jade opting for the most beautiful lace Pronovias wedding dress and Daniel sporting traditional tails. Capturing all the magic was Jacob Malinski of Foto Memories Photography whose natural reportage style will swell your heart.
We were so excited when we won the chance to work with Rock My Wedding and choose suppliers from their Recommended suppliers list. The team were amazing at listening to what we were hoping for and suggesting people who could help from The List. We found that the suppliers on The List were absolute professionals and so generous with their time when talking to us about our wedding plans. In particular, Wildflower Illustration Co. and Daisy Ellen helped us to create the most memorable and personal touches and seeing the final effect of their work on the day was magical. I have recommended The List and RMW to several friends – it’s a very useful tool and you can trust that the suppliers are experts.
