Create Your Own Perfect Cake With Marks & Spencer

Cake. It’s fair to say we are big fans of it. Huge in fact…we’d have cake for breakfast if we could! Anyway, enough about how much we love cake.

Today we are sharing the fantastic new line up of cakes from Marks & Spencer. And what a fabulous collection it is. From tiered cakes to cupcakes and even cakes of cheese – you are in for a treat.

There are elegant white iced cakes which you can pretty up with fresh flowers, or beautiful piped creations that will create a stunning centrepiece. If you fancy a bit more colour, how about a pretty blue birdcage cake or a tumbling vintage rose cake complete with matching cupcakes?

And then there is chocolate…Marks and Spencer have the most fabulous array of delicious chocolate cakes with everything from shimmering numbers to a contemporary bauble extravaganza!

And the best bit is that you can decorate each and every one of them to your own individual style (keep your eyes peeled for a RMW special coming soon!) We are talking fresh flowers, ribbons, flags and bespoke toppers. You can let your imagination run wild and create a cake that truly reflects you and the style of your wedding. So whether you want to create a rustic feel with wrapped hessian, twine and tumbling roses or a contemporary affair with geometric shapes and cool muted colours, you really can let your creativity run wild.

Finding the cake for you

All M&S wedding cakes are freshly made using the finest ingredients, including free-range eggs. You can choose from fruit cake packed with vine fruit, nuts and cherries, laced with brandy; all-butter sponge filled with buttercream; and chocolate cake filled with chocolate ganache. With some designs, you can opt to mix and match tiers. There’s also a range of icing options – white, ivory or chocolate-flavoured – and several cakes are finished with real chocolate.

For every wedding

If you’re having an intimate wedding, the traditional cake tiers are ideal: they’re available in small, medium, large and extra large, and you can opt
for just one tier. Or if you need more portions, the cutting bars are perfect – they come in a variety of recipes, and each bar gives you an extra 22 servings.

How to order

You can order online at marksandspencer.com, on your mobile. And to help make light work of all the preparations, you can also order your wedding flowers, wine and Champagne at marksandspencer.com.

  1. I had the opportunity to photograph few of the M&S wedding cakes and they do look lovely. However, one has to be sure to store the cake properly as it can be wonky and sweat on the day. I’ve seen it happening many times especially on a hot summer day.

  2. that is a great collection of cakes and the best part i liked was that the cakes can be decorated to your own individual style. i would select a white color with lots of icing below.

  3. We had an M&S traditional iced 3 tier wedding cake. My bridesmaid & I had a great time decorating it with black & white ribbon & a cloud of butterflies taking flight up the side of the cake. We were very proud of our efforts, the cake tasted great & we got lots of compliments on how it looked & tasted. I would definitely recommend, especially if working to a budget.

    1. Did you buy the cake as 3 separate tiers and put them together yourself after decorating them, or did you buy the cake already tiered together? Thanks.

  4. Can you make me a ten inch chocolate cake with no filling or icing and an eight inch madira with no filling or icing.
