Inspiration

Calling all curly haired brides: you're going to want to see this! From jaw-dropping curly wedding hair, to full-on florals and waterfall lights, this array of tones and textures is simply breathtaking! Shot by Recommended Supplier Sarah Taylor Photo & Film, to create a fun, fresh take on the rustic English countryside. The shoot took place at Hornington Manor; a charming rustic working farm in the heart of North Yorkshire with a dedicated wedding barn.

Styling curly wedding hair two ways for a relaxed and high fashion bridal look.

We wanted to create a rich and warm feel to the shoot whilst retaining a feminine and fresh feel, suitable for summer and autumnal weddings.

VISION

A wild and fun shoot with rich sunset hues, warm tones and a playfulness ready for the brighter wedding season.

INSPIRATION & STYLING

Sunset romance with a little mood and sparkle. We created a gorgeous unique floral installation with no foliage to highlight the beautiful tones of the florals. With a waterfall of fairy lights against the rustic barn wall, the shoot was packed with textures, rich colours and delicious food. We wanted to show an untraditional approach to the statement wedding cake. The custom dessert table was created by a company not afraid to experiment with textures.

CURLY WEDDING HAIR

We chose two different looks. Boho relaxed with the Riki Dalal two piece, with neutral makeup tones complete with a pop of coral lip colour. We wanted to highlight the sense of fun with the bride's wild curly locks, statement earrings and option for a unique crown. We then wanted to juxtapose an upscale look; creating a high fashion vibe with the gorgeous sleeved Riki Dalal gown against the relaxed rustic backdrop. Then pairing this with a more formal hairstyle, giant pearl pins and a heavier makeup look. The bride's curly hair was perfect for the playful vision we had.

Make your own rules! Don't be afraid to experiment with colours, textures and style.

I wanted to highlight the sustainability of the florals, being able to repurpose them throughout the wedding day for different areas. I really wanted to show the 'no rules' approach with this shoot to encourage couples to plan their day their way.
