Vision

An intimate elopement on the Cornish coastline with personal details and picnic.

Inspiration

If you like the idea of ditching tradition, having something intimate and being adventurous then eloping is definitely something to consider. The UK has so many beautiful spots and we decided to plan our shoot on the north Devon rugged coastline. There’s just something so dramatic about the landscape but during the autumn and winter months it’s very quiet and you can have that true serenity. Eloping is a great way to have that intimacy on your day, especially if you’re feeling overwhelmed at the thought of a big wedding. A lot of couples tend to have their legal bit celebrated with loved ones and then their ceremony just between them, or celebrate with a bigger party of friends and family later.

Devon Elopement

Nestled in the south-west of England is the charming Devon county, full of picturesque spots along its coastline just crying out for an intimate elopement. Emily Black Photography and her team saw its potential and recognised more and more couples are opting to elope and began working on the perfect Devon elopement inspiration. They kept things simple, but full of character and charm, channelling their couples boho vibes with bridal separates and boots, dried grasses and flower stems, plus wooden platters natural fabrics.

Making It Personal

Eloping also offers you the chance to incorporate what you really love as a couple. If you’re an outdoorsy type, love the coast or a hike and you want your wedding to really be about what you love doing, then this is another reason. For me, I love hiking and mountains so me and my now-husband wanted to incorporate all of this without the worry of accommodating all our guests. A fabulous team of suppliers and I wanted to showcase what the great Cornish coast had to offer and put together a little elopement picnic too.
