Inspiration

The flowers, the bridesmaids and the beautiful couple, in fact, everything about this wedding at Dewsall Court is picture-perfect. The couple said their vows in front of close friends and family at the small church at the Hereford country house venue who are one of our handpicked suppliers. However, they had to get inventive as all of their guests would not fit in the cute church - there were 175 so we aren't surprised, so instead they set up a viewing area with a large screen so that the guests who could not fit were still able to watch the nuptials just outside. The bride looked stunning in a Donatella Piccarrata dress flanked by her gorgeous bridesmaids and the cutest flower girls who were on hand to carry the bride's lace train!

What Made Our Day Unique

Although very intimate and beautiful, the church at Dewsall was too small for all of our guests, so we decided to have a bohemian style canopy outside on the grass where our guests were able to watch us get married on a screen. For the guests outside, we organised elderflower spritz and beers to enjoy under the canopy. Toby whispered that I looked beautiful as I walked in but was very close to a nearby microphone and it filled the speakers outside, so got a good laugh from our friends.

Dewsall Court

Blush was the running theme of the day with a truly gorgeous church entrance flower display at Dewsall Court. This was followed by an exquisite wedding breakfast with blush-toned flowers and whimsical vibes with foliage draped between the old ceiling beams. 175 guests tucked into sharing boards on the long trestle tables, lit with romantic tall candles and named with reference to one of the couples favourite T.V shows - Friends!

Inspiration & Styling

I really wanted a rustic feel for our wedding. I wasn’t looking for the formal white flowers, long veil and white table cloths. I had a vision of fairy lights in the trees, a fire pit outside, bare oak tables and foliage hanging from the ceiling...The foliage was draped between the beams as well as across, which was a first for Dewsall and took a few days to construct! We also had vintage furniture brought in from Hire Love to help dress the reception as well as a yurt with a bar in it that we used on both the Saturday and Sunday. Some of my favourite photos are of my friends and family sipping Aperol Spritz in the sunshine on fabulous peacock chairs.

This couple had to be inventive and came up with screening their wedding in an area outside the church, although for this couple it was because they had so many guests, this could also work if you needed to implement social distancing. If you are planning a COVID wedding then you can take a look right here for all our gorgeous socially distanced and intimate weddings!
