Inspiration

A bespoke Bride dress, different coloured bridesmaid dresses and wildflower arrangements lining the aisle to brighten your day today! Definitely a case of not what you know, but who you know, the Bride and Groom had an abundance of willing helpers for their big day, with the Bride lucky enough to be besties with not only a makeup artist but also a fantastic wedding dress designer too - Fleetwood of London! This wedding really was a homage to their beautiful beloved Cornwall!

What Made Our Day Unique

Having so much of the day created by friends. I had a bespoke dress made for me by one of my best friends and my hair and make-up done by another (and they happen to be identical twins!) Another friend created our beautiful wedding cake and our neighbours made an order of the day pallet, photo frames, menus and name cards. I also gave a bride speech which I was really nervous about but it gave me the opportunity to thank and express my feelings for my friends and family whilst they were all together in one room which I will probably never get to do again!

Different Coloured Bridesmaid Dresses

You don't always have to stick to traditions, our bride, Jenny, opted to have different coloured bridesmaid dresses in hushed tones and we think it looks amazing - all from high street shops too! Flowers and candles inspired by the Cornish hedgerows and scents littered the beautifully rustic Nancarrow Farm wedding venue in Truro. However, it was the bespoke bride dress that really stole the show with all the laser cut detail and cut out!

Inspiration & Styling

We are both fairly laid back and not very traditional so we didn't want the day to be too formal. We love Cornwall and it's all about chilling out and relaxing when we visit and we wanted our wedding to reflect that feeling. We chose the venue because it fit in with that vibe but when making decisions whilst planning, we also thought about what would suit the venue so opted for decor and outfits that fit in with a rustic wedding theme. My brief to our florist, Helen was that I wanted the flowers to echo Cornish hedgerows. What she created was so much better than we could have imagined and the flower meadows which lined the aisle really gave the feeling of "bringing the outside in". We had candles from Join burning on the tables during the meal. Jenna from Join is originally from Cornwall and many of the scents are inspired by the county.
