Set in a quaint Library with a dried flower moon gate floral arch, and sweetheart table full of textured linens, romantic candlelight and on-trend tableware. Every detail beautifully complements the moody surroundings and intimate setting. Be sure to look out for the bouquet and cake of dreams too, I'm certain your Pinterest boards won't be complete without them.

VISION

The shoot was inspired by everything I love about Manchester - the moodiness, the history, the crazy memorable public transport moments, the non-traditional elements, the busy streets, and the hidden gems. I envisioned lots of boho-city vibes, with dark, warm tones, dried floral details, and a contrast between the historical venue and the more modern looks of the couple.

MANCHESTER STYLED ELOPEMENT

"This was the story that I made up to use as inspiration for the shoot - thankfully our models were a real couple, so the love and emotions were totally, 100% real! The elopement "story" is all about Jemimah and Theo - they're in love with each other (obvs), books, art, beer, halloumi cheeseburgers, and travelling. Jem is into Agatha Christie and Theo loves the classics like Charles Dickens, but they met at the Portico Library in Manchester because of their mutual love for North and South by Elizabeth Gaskill. They also had their first date in Manchester city where they ended up on the trams - they hopped on and just rode it to the end of the line, chatting about anything and everything! On their wedding day, they’re gonna elope in the Portico Library and adventure around the busy city afterwards." - Jess McGhie

Elopement Wedding

An elopement wedding is such an intimate personal way to pledge to spend the rest of your life with your beau. Just you, your love and your vows. Elopements used to be hurried, secretive events where the couples would jet off to marry on a whim, but today, many couples are carefully considering and planning elopements in their favourite spots, be that a picturesque destination location or city break. This Manchester elopement is a wonderful example of a planned elopement wedding beautifully styled with dried flowers, an adorable sweetheart table and cake, becasue who doesn't want a slice of wedding cake on their big day?!

DECOR & STYLING

"There’s an incredible floral arch set up in the library by Ancoats Florist (seriously my jaw dropped when I saw it), the room styled by the absolutely incredible Carrie-Ann Tilley Bespoke Events who totally killed it with dried florals, dark table details, and neutral linens. I literally gasped when I saw the cake from Little Button Bakery, which had a quote from North and South hand-painted on it, a book which Portico Library has a first edition of (seriously, the thought Katie put into it!). The stationery by Wonderland Invites was actual perfection and looked like a dream when it was paired with the amazing ribbons from PomPom Blossom. Not to mention the absolute boho-fairytale that was the dress from Shikoba Bridal and how gorgeous our model, Tyler looked in it - I completely adore a two piece dress and the lace and fringe details were to die for! I just can’t get over how amazing the suppliers and vendors were - they took the brief and mood boards and just totally went for it with their amazing creativity and talent." - Jess McGhie
