Inspiration

Jannie and Thomas have been residing in Spain for quite some time now but decided to hold their boho elopement in their home town of Castle Ashby in Northamptonshire. They chose the beautiful Orangery and garden they both used to run around in as children to say their vows, and the setting is just out of this world. They got ready together, walked to the venue together and looked totally at ease the whole time. Whilst we love a big wedding here at Rock My HQ, we also cherish intimate weddings like this too. Holy swoon. Can we also just mention how incredible they both look too, their outfits are off the chart!

Inspiration & Styling

Thomas and I didn’t have a traditional wedding so I thought my bridal look shouldn’t be too traditional either. I didn’t want something too extreme that, looking back on it, I might’ve regretted wearing but I did want just a pop of colour and something unique I could wear. I got that with my headpiece and the bouquet. Thomas’ look was very special. Given that we eloped (which meant our parents weren’t there with us) Thomas wanted to feel them close to him nonetheless. He decided to wear the suit jacket his dad wore on his wedding day.

Boho Elopement

As soon as Thomas proposed to Jannie, they instantly knew they wanted an elopement wedding. They wanted to say their vows somewhere understated and special to them, so decided to go back to Northamptonshire to say their nuptials. They started the day off getting ready together at Thomas’ family home, then slowly strolled to Castle Ashby’s Orangery where they exchanged their promises and declarations. The intimate setting is absolutely incredible and looks nothing short of spectacular. And most surprising of all, all of this fabulousness was done for under 10K!

Dried Flower Bouquet

Having lived in Spain for quite some time, I’ve gotten to know quite a few Spanish suppliers. For my bridal bouquet, I headed straight to El Jardín del Cabo. I showed Teresa and Claudia some photos of the dress, the shoes and the headpiece and they came up with the best flower combination. Oh, most importantly, it was made with dried and preserved flowers (so I could take it with me on the plane on our way to the UK), which means I get to keep it forever!

Advice

Just be yourselves and do the wedding the way you really feel like doing it, because it’s a once in a lifetime moment and other people shouldn’t decide for you.

Jannie & Thomas
Jannie and Thomas met their photographer's Manu and Laura from Tipos Photography Services a couple of summers ago. They jokingly told them at the time that if they ever got married, they wanted them to capture it. Fast forward a couple of years and that’s exactly what happened. Their work is phenomenal, not only have they captured the splendour of the orangery venue, but every intimate exchange and tender moment between our gorgeous couple too.
