The stunning abundance of Autumn creates a whole host of styling opportunities and even if I do say so myself, the latest styling inspiration we’ve gathered is nothing short of gorgeous. The golden light that you can only find in Autumn is absolute magic, and don’t get me started on the jewel hues. We’ve made sure to show you how to make the most of both below, so much so that your styling will have your photographer falling over themselves to capture it, whilst your guests ooh and ahh at the delights. Luckily, all of the inspiration below comes from our hugely talented industry faves, most of whom are from our handpicked wedding supplier directory, The List. It’s an exclusive list filled with the most creative and talented wedding industry pros, all of whom will help bring your Autumn dreams to life.
With a bounty of jewel toned florals and beautiful, golden light this is the season to get enchanting and a little bit mysterious. We’ve gone heavy on the candlelight because if the sun is creating magic outside, then reflecting that inside is a no-brainer. Hedgerows are adorned with ripe and delicious fruit, so consider some pre-wedding foraging and adding blackberries and elderberries to your styling for an interesting, unexpected and free(!!) element. Oh and we mustn’t forget, Autumn is also the perfect season to add a little bit more you to your bridal look by layering up with knitwear, or a broken in leather jacket.
If we didn’t have you sold on the idea of ALL the candlelight above then just take a look at some of these images. All the heart eyes. An evening ceremony set against a plethora of candles is both atmospheric and romantic, whilst tables full of crystal glasses, decanters and metallic cutlery is brought to life when candlelight dances across it.
Jewel tones feel like the natural go to here, but blush hues teamed with berries, dried seed heads and foliage can look equally as Autumnal. Mix up the size of your florals for a tie in to that abundance feel you only get in Autumn, and if you needed an excuse to get Protea into your wedding florals, this is it.
Wooden elements like the signage and trays below add an extra dimension of nature to your jewel hued day, and no one can not love hand written signage adorned with all the foliage. We’re totally obsessed with metallic details, whether that’s calligraphy place names written in gold ink, delicate candlesticks, or a touch of gold leaf on your cake.
Swathes of sheer fabrics and delicate lace look incredible when teamed with candlelight and dimmed festoons, whilst delicate hair vines in beautiful metallics set off loose undone hair perfectly. We can’t forget about the big and tousled romantic braid though. Once the golden hour is over and a chill sits on the air drop on your favourite cashmere knit, a vintage leather jacket or wrap a fur around your shoulders for a stylish take on keeping cosy.
Most of the gorgeous imagery above comes from members of our exclusive, recommended supplier directory, The List.
