Entertaining Your Guests With Warble Entertainment

Warble Entertainment:Hi, we’re the Warble Entertainment Agency and we book entertainment and fun stuff for over 4,000 weddings each year so we get to speak to plenty of brides and grooms. Although planning a wedding is extremely exciting we all know there is stress and worry along the way.

A great way to alleviate some of these potential wedding nightmares is through entertainment…so, here are a few of our top ideas to enable you to sleep easy.

Bored Guests

This may happen during the drinks reception when the bride and groom are hijacked for photographs and guests are sometimes left twiddling their thumbs. This is simple to remedy by booking walkabout entertainment, for example, a caricaturist artist, a close-up magician or even a balloon modeler to inject some colour and provide fantastic photo opportunities.

Table Plan Hell

With lots of different groups of friends and family who don’t know each other it might be a worry that the wedding breakfast will be a little awkward. Easy Peasy! You can create a fantastic talking point and break the ice with a surprise act such as singing waiters. Or, why not take it to the next level and try something truly outrageous book surprise singing firemen or policemen!

Murder On The Dance Floor

This may actually be better than an empty dance floor, which is a biggy in the nightmare stakes! But fret ye not, the solution is simple – hire an interactive and fun wedding band and you’ll have granny busting out some shapes all over the place! Top tips to keep the dance floor full is to check that your bar isn’t in a separate room and also try not to start the band too early. Plus, if you keep the lighting nice and low guests will feel less inhibited. Finally, as much as you can leave the playlist to the band – remember, they are experts and do this week in and week out and they want a full dance floor just as much as you do!

The Show Must Go On

If you’re worried about the entertainment not turning up and being stuck with your nephew’s iPod as the only source of entertainment then never fear…That’s why we’re here. As a reputable agency we have 24-hour emergency coverage so if an act couldn’t make it for some unforeseen reason we would be on hand to source a similar act with no fuss so you can carry on enjoying your day.

If you are nearing breaking point and need a shoulder to cry on or want to run your entertainment ideas by us then please feel free to give us a shout on 0845 643 9384 or check out the website at www.warble-entertainment.com.

  1. I was just logging on to ‘unsubscribe’ from RMW as I got married 18 months ago (!) but I just wanted to say that we booked Junior G through Warble and they were absolutely awesome! They were also very understanding when the person with the safe key (containing their payment balance) went home early poorly! All round great service – even to the back end of beyond in Devon!

      1. Married life is the best! And I actually went on maternity leave today – so life is about to change maaahooosivley!! Thanks for the great service Warble :0

    1. So pleased you had fantastic service with Warble. Don’t forget to check out our sister site Rock My Style if you need somewhere else to go for a daily dose of loveliness now that you are married! x

      1. Ha ha, yes, I will look at that site now! Every bride-to-be that I’ve shared RMW with has absolutley adored it – so keep up the amazing work 🙂 And thanks for working with such great partners – I would also massivley reccommend Anna and Simon Clarke for photography/videography!

  2. I agree completely about having the bar in a separate room to the entertainment. As a gent myself, I prefer to socialise during the early stages of an evening, normally drinking with friends. If the bar is in a separate room to the entertainment, that’s where you’ll fine me, my friends and everyone else who isn’t quite ready to dance yet!
    A few other tips:
Make sure you pick the correct entertainment for your guests. It’s your wedding day, but if your taste in music differs completely to your guests and you only cater to your own personal musical preferences, expect an empty dance floor. Unfortunately majority rules, which is why so many bands play the ‘same old’ music, the same can be said of the ‘cheesy DJ’ who cannot wait to play the Macarena, then squirm in difficulty when that doesn’t get people up dancing.
A DJ can cater to all tastes and even take requests on the night, so never rule out a DJ over a band, a DJ SHOULD also be happy to play the right music for your guests. Kisstory? No problem! Rock Anthems? We do those too. Motown and Soul? Yep! Current Charts? You bet!
I’ve often seen photographers try to push a bride and groom into having an early first dance. This is a shame, as the first dance is a great opportunity to kick-off the evening dancing. If this happens too early in the evening, sure you’ll get dancers for a while, then they’ll head to the bar because they want a drink. Couple this with a bar in a different room and you’ve got problems!
The evening buffet timing is important. If you have the buffet before the guests are feeling comfortable while dancing, it will act as an excuse for some to leave the dance floor. We’ve found that it’s best to have the evening buffet around an hour after the first dance. Let’s face it, your daytime guests will still be full from the meal they’ve eaten only a couple of previously.
We’ve got our own recipes for playing the right music to the crowds, so feel free to get in touch if you’d like some of our expert advice.

  3. We always say to our clients, the one of the main things guests will always remember from there weddings is the entertainment…. Get that right & your half way there.
