Inspiration

Bright lights and big smiles make up this wonderful Gloucester wedding, with an immense fairy light curtain that has no end, botanical foliage and plants adorning the reception tables and wedding signs, plus so many more personal details and DIY elements you won't know what to look at first!

What Made Our Day Unique

Our wedding was hugely inspired after falling in love with the extremely unique, relaxed and 'zen' wedding venue in Gloucester. The wedding was full of surprises for our guests; a 4-piece choir who had learnt 'God Only Knows - The Beach Boys' for my walk down the aisle, a surprise firework display, a secretly organised confetti explosion on the dance floor and our very own renovated tandem bike – providing us with the perfect transport to ride into the evening together.

Fairy Light Curtain

Sophie and Dan certainly put their stamp on their wedding with an impressive fairy light curtain stretching from one end of their wedding venue to the other. There was no way guests wouldn't know where the venue finished and their added decor began. They also poured their absolute heart and soul into making each and every one of their guests a personalised wooden log name place favour, which were individually burnt and stamped with a tandem logo. What made all their efforts even more worth it, was that every single guest had taken them home as a memento.

Wedding Suppliers

The venue has previously hosted our photographer and we fell in love with his unique artistic style utilising natural lighting. After researching for the perfect florist/stylist, we came across Bristol-based The Wilde Bunch, who knew exactly how to continue the botanical vibe of the venue whilst giving our wedding it's own unique twist using cacti and olive leaves to dress the tables. We had no idea regarding confetti, so used RMW suppliers list to find Shropshire Petals – the colour choices were extensive and the resulting confetti picture was perfect and one of our favourites from the day!

Sophie & Dan
Sophie & Dan encourage you to "Trust your suppliers, trust your venue and trust your family and friends. I think it is so easy to want to control every aspect of your day but it's just not realistic if you want to enjoy yourself. Everyone wants you to have the most amazing day and by letting the experts do their thing and letting people pitch in, we ended up with a wedding better than we had ever imagined." So, with that in mind, make sure you're in the safest hands possible by searching our handpicked supplier directory, The List, where each and every one of our members has been chosen for their expertise, customer service and attention to detail.
