Inspiration

There are wedding venues, and then there are wedding venues, and RMW recommended supplier The Tythe Barn in Launton, Oxfordshire, truly is one of those one-of-a-kind places. Yaz and Nick fell in love with the rustic, fairy-lit barn on their first visit, and we completely understand why: with wooden beams, stone walls and a gorgeous wisteria covered aisle, plus an incredible backdrop of dreamcatchers provided by the bride, this is a venue where wedding dreams really do come true.

The Tythe Barn Wedding Venue with Dreamcatchers

Yaz & Nick: As soon as we stepped into The Tythe Barn, we both knew it was the one. It was so beautiful and rustic, with wooden beams, bare stone walls and hanging fairy lights. We wanted to get married outside, and The Tythe Barn offered this as well, with a stunning wooden archway covered in foliage and wisteria as the aisle. The team working at the barn were brilliant - nothing was a problem. The same day we viewed the venue we secured a date. We drove home with big smiles on our faces! I've always loved the rustic, boho look, and knew the aesthetic of The Tythe Barn would allow us to include this in our wedding. Dreamcatchers are my favourite decorative item, and I was thrilled with the dreamcatcher backdrop created by Trudy Renshaw from With A Gypsy Soul Dreamcatchers. It was definitely a head turner and we had so many compliments on the day.

Lace Martina Liana Wedding Dress with Long Sleeves

When it came to finding my wedding dress, I had a style in mind and couldn't get it out of my head. I tried to be open-minded, however, I found it difficult as I knew what I was after: a fitted dress with long lace sleeves, quite simple yet effective. When I came across The Tailor's Cat Bridal Boutique in Cambridge the window display was utterly beautiful and included the style of dresses that I knew I wanted. I booked an appointment and rest was history! As soon as I tried on the Martina Liana dress I knew it was everything I had dreamt of. I didn't make me feel uncomfortable, which was a major bonus for me as I can be self-conscious at times.

Mismatched Blush Bridesmaids Dresses

The bridesmaids dresses were from ASOS and I fell in love with them as soon as I found them online. These dresses were one of the first things I bought, so I knew from the outset the colour scheme we were going to have. I still wanted to have a natural, rustic look for the day, however, the bridesmaids dresses also added a glam vibe, which worked really well. As I had eight bridesmaids (yes, crazy I know!) I wanted them all to be comfortable, so I chose four different style dresses, allowing them to pick which one they preferred. Plus, I liked the idea of mixing it up and not having all my girls in the same dress.

If we had a dreamcatcher for every wedding we wish we had been invited to, we'd have a house full of them by now! Yaz and Nick's The Tythe Barn wedding is certainly one of those days we have all imagined in our dreams, and we are sure it's a day they will continue dreaming of for the rest of their lives.
