We tried to use people that we knew personally to keep the day as intimate as possible. Our caterers, cake and hairdresser were all provided by family and friends. Matt Horan our wonderful photographer was a recommendation. We were so lucky to have found him he was incredible! Through his work, we found Louise at Number Twenty Seven whose talent we cannot recommend highly enough. We noticed Oli Ng playing in a local bar and signed him up on the spot. We recognised his husky voice would be perfect for our first dance 'Wild Horses'.
Farm Wedding
When Sarah & Simon couldn't find their perfect wedding venue they decided to build one! From the rubble of an old cattle shed on the family farm, Simon spent 7 days a week for 18 months transforming the space into the gorgeous venue they are now very proud to call The Willow Marsh Farm. This gesture of love, commitment and vision is surely going to win him brownie points for life! They had a beautiful humanist ceremony outdoors on the farm grounds, followed by the reception in the barn and each setting makes this farm wedding an absolute dream.Wedding Inspiration
The sun shone all day allowing us to marry outdoors in front of the farm's marshlands and lakes. We wanted it to be relaxed and informal. We personally styled the venues (until 2 am the night before) with a little help from our friends. I would describe our style as rustic elegance, we love timeless and classics and work on the idea that less is more. We sourced antique furniture throughout the year from the local auction house which we visited every Saturday morning. Simon saved the reclaimed glass chandeliers from a ballroom that was being redeveloped locally.
