Inspiration

Wedding photographer, The Bold Americana, described this wedding as "true beauty in simplicity" and I couldn't agree more. Although it was a rainy Spring day in the heart of Kansas City, the love and light shined through the industrial wedding venue. There were festoon lights, foliage garlands, grazing tables and more. Nothing was overdone, but everything looked perfect.

What Made Our Day Unique

We wanted to keep our wedding beautiful but simple. We wanted it to be fun for all and a celebration of the meaning of the day. We had a different take on several traditions including each having our sister walk us down the aisle, we had Scott’ s baby niece as our ring bearer and we chose stations of heavy appetisers for dinner to create a relaxed environment for people to sit where they wanted to and mingle as they please. At 10:30 the evening shifted into a full out hip hop dance party with every song hand-selected by us and friends.

Festoon Lights

It doesn't matter where festoon lights are hung they always enhance a setting. Which is most certainly the case at this Kansas City wedding. Decorating The industrial wedding venue's ceiling perfectly, and sparkling over this relaxed wedding and the gorgeous couple. Bride Britt wears Pronovias and Groom Scott Hugo Boss, and together they are radiating love and happiness. Just wait until you see Scott's reaction to Britt at their first look, it's priceless.

Inspiration & Styling

The vibe was supposed to be romantic, floral and Spring-inspired. Unfortunately, the day started out gloomy and raining as it had for our engagement photos, bridal showers, and bachelor/bachelorette parties! At this point we convinced ourselves we will have the luckiest marriage in the world and our vendors/coordinators brought Spring into the venue. It turned out beautifully and perfect for us.

We always think it's important to spend time working out your budget prior to searching for suppliers and allocating your money on the things that are important to you first. Britt and Scott wanted to spend more of their budget on booking the best DJ they could find.
