Inspiration

Picture perfect wedding galleries make our hearts soar, so we were excited to receive this album of fine art photography showcasing Sandra & Zeeshan's stylish celebrations at Hedsor House. Overlooking the River Thames, our bride and groom describe the venue as a 'destination wedding on their doorstep', and it truly does have the feel of an Italianate-style mansion with the beauty of being only a stone's throw outside the Big Smoke. Classic styling and seasonal flowers mean every inch of the wedding remains as elegant as the stunning surroundings, and guests greatly enjoyed mocktails and canapes in the gorgeous grounds before heading inside for a delicious wedding breakfast created by Caper & Berry. If you're looking for grace and good taste - alongside plenty of fun and laughter - this wedding is the one.

How We Chose Our Suppliers

We chose our suppliers by doing a lot of research and meeting up with a few to see if they fit our budget and expectations. It was very important for us that our suppliers made us feel comfortable, so we would be relaxed on the big day and not worry about anything. We used Rock My Wedding for inspiration – and to figure out what we needed to organise! The suppliers we chose were excellent and able to offer ideas and guidance, as well as deliver on the day itself.

Fine Art Photography

When your wedding album is awash with natural, light and love-filled images you know you've made a good choice with your photographer. In Sandra & Zeeshan's case, Christina Sarah's clean and classic approach fit the feel of their day perfectly, resulting in an album of fine art photography that reflects the elegance of their exquisite venue, Hedsor House, whilst also capturing all of those fun and unforgettable moments - the groom and his gang hitting the dancefloor being one such example! Sandra admits that she was lost for words when their wedding album arrived; the perfect postscript to all the celebrations. If you, too, want to ensure you find a photographer who is a match made in heaven, check out our handpicked supplier directory, The List. For these shooters, wedding photography is more than just the click of a shutter, so you know your precious memories will be in safe hands.

Advice For Brides-to-be

Enjoy the journey leading up to the wedding and try not to stress over tiny details. Take time with the planning and let your close friends and family help you. Your wedding day should be a fun day to remember, so make sure you get a really good photographer to capture all of the beautiful moments. Start dress shopping in plenty of time, too, and keep an open mind. I was fixated on a specific dress but, having visited various stores in London and Copenhagen with no success, was about to give up until my mother picked up a gown that was not the style I had in mind and it turned out to be perfect.

One of the most exciting - but fear-inducing - phrases in the world of wedding planning is, "Have you found the dress?". For some brides, their gorgeous gown is found at their very first appointment; for other brides, like Sandra, the shopping experience is more a test of endurance. But be assured, your dream dress is out there, you may just need a plan of action. Luckily, our very own Charlotte and Becky are on hand in Series 2, Episode 1 of our podcast to answer all your questions, from what actually happens at a bridal boutique, to buying and budgeting, to storing and caring for your dress in the run-up to, and after, your big day.
