Planning

Blush, rose, peach, pastel-pink. Call it what you will, this hue of gown will transcend all seasons, trends and venues. Blush bridesmaid dresses will look just as perfect in a garden wedding as they will in a fairy-tale castle. And they will suit the skin types of all your best girls. I should know: I recently had the honour of being a bridesmaid for my best school friend Lucy. I’m olive skinned and was nervous that a pale pink wouldn’t suit me, but it’s totally put blush on my shopping radar. In true Spice Girls style, I’ve given nicknames to each of the five best blush bridesmaid dresses that can currently be found on the Great British High Street. (However, I decided to steer clear of using the actual Spice Girls nicknames, other than Posh. ‘Cos, after all, no one wants to be Scary).

The Best Blush Bridesmaid Dresses {The Vintage-Inspired One}

Let’s start with the drop-dead gorgeous gaggle of maids in the header. They’re wearing the vintage-inspired Bianca maxi from Monsoon. Now the Bianca looks stunning on the Monsoon website, but comes to life when you see it on real bridesmaids. To see the real wedding in full, click here.

The Best Blush Bridesmaid Dresses {The Grecian One}

How beautiful did Lady Gaga look in her blush Calvin Klein gown at the Critics’ Choice Awards this week? (Not so sure about the boots though, Lady G). For a similarly Grecian vibe in a duskier pink, head to Asos Premium.

The Best Blush Bridesmaid Dresses {The Posh One}

This high-neck fishtail maxi is simplicity at its very best. If this dress were a Spice Girl it would be Posh. And at just £60 it’s an absolute STEAL.

The Best Blush Bridesmaid Dresses {The Dreamy One}

If I had to choose one word to describe this Needle and Thread gown it would be DREAMY. The embroidery at the top is exquisite – if you take a peek at the video you will see that sweet little-beaded birds have even been worked into the pattern - and the flowers cascade all the way down the skirt.

The Best Blush Bridesmaid Dresses {The Pretty One}

At the aforementioned wedding, Lucy’s sisters wore this berry-hued number, and two of the other bridesmaids and I wore the Portia from Phase Eight. The Portia ticked every box – it was feminine, flattering and ohhhh so comfortable. I thought the mix of berry and blush was a genius move by Lucy and can’t blinkin’ wait to see the wedding photos. Both styles of dresses are in the sale now – snap some up for your best girls quick.
