Planning

As a bride, I think one of the loveliest gifts you can give to your best girls on the morning of your wedding is a beautiful set of getting ready robes. Whether it’s a delicate kimono, a sassy little pyjama shorts set, or something with a hint of lace or silk, it’s something your bridesmaids will treasure forever, and something that will always remind them of your lovely wedding day.

Best Monochrome Getting Ready Robes

Let’s start with my favourite of the lot: this smart little pyjama set from DKNY. Picture your bridesmaids in the black version and you in the white. I LOVE the shape of the shirt and the contrast of the white piping. For something a bit girlier, this silk lace trim pyjama set from The White Company is oh-so pretty and feminine, and for a kimono version with similar luxe piping, H&M do this slinky monochrome number.

The Best Peachy Pink Getting Ready Robes

H&M are on the ball when it comes to lingerie at the moment. Anyone would think Valentines Day was just around the corner ;) This satin kimono in powder-pink was the prettiest one I came across, and I’m loving the peachy hues of this shirt-and-shorts set. And just look at the little frill on the bottom of these H&M pyjama shorts. The ladybird version is also very sweet.

The Best Floral Getting Ready Robes

After I clapped eyes on the getting-ready-robe that the bride wore in this pastels-and-blue-grey themed Real Wedding I could not stop thinking about it, so I was over the moon when I spied a similar one at Cath Kidston. For something more striking, the B by Ted Baker Lingerie range is gorgeous and decadent, and for pjs that are elegant and feminine and fun, you can’t go wrong with these Cyberjammies.
What will you and your maids be wearing on the morning of your wedding? Have I inspired you to go match-matchy with your best girls?
