Also, Grazzie and Lamont have been together since school - we blimmin' love a good love story and childhood sweethearts are our faves!!!

Our Story

Grazzie The Bride: We met at school and have been together ever since!

The Bride

As soon as I clocked eyes on Emma Beaumont dresses on Instagram, I just knew she had to make my dress. Over the course of ten months (and multiple trips to Cheshire and London) Emma and her team set to work to design and make my dream bespoke dress, I knew I wanted a classic dress with a modern twist and that’s exactly what Emma and her team did - I adore the pockets, the split to the front and mine and Lamont’s initials in my veil. I loved every single minute of wearing my dress and felt honoured to wear a dress designed by Emma. My shoes (bought by my Mum and Dad) were Manolo Blahnik, from being a teenager I knew that I wanted “Carrie” shoes and my Mum and Dad had always said they’d be the first thing they’d buy me for my wedding. I kept my jewellery simple, wearing my Nan’s engagement ring on my ring hand. That was my “something old” and “something blue”. A close friend and hugely talented make-up artist, Christy Waterfall did my make-up for the day, I could not have been happier with how she made me look and feel. Melanie Giles (my favourite hair-salon in Bath) gave me a natural bouncy blow-dry.

The Groom

Lamont wore a dark blue Ted Baker suit, that was tailored by his favourite tailor Territo in Bristol. He accessorised with a Lanvin bow tie and pocket square and Loake shoes. His best mate and best man Luke, wore a tailored suit from Reiss.

The Wedding Party

I always knew that I wanted my sister Marcella to be my Maid of Honour - there would have been no-one else in the world I’d have wanted to walk down the aisle before me. I wanted her to feel herself on our wedding day, which meant that I wanted her to wear something that she loved, rather than something that she was forced to wear. She chose a beautiful embellished Needle and Thread dress and very cool pink velvet heels from Whistles, both in gorgeous pink blush tones.

The Venue

Having looked at a number of venues, the moment we walked into No.38 The Park in Cheltenham we knew we wanted to get married there, only a handful of weddings had ever been held there which made it feel even more special and the whole team were very relaxed meaning that they gave us complete creative control, there was no request too big and nothing was too much trouble. We hired No.38 exclusive for the ceremony and dinner, later we headed in a vintage Routemaster bus to The Clarence Social’s basement bar Croft & Jones where we partied until the early hours.

The Details

We really wanted a small and intimate wedding surrounding by the people that mean the most to us. This in turn, meant that we were really able to focus on pouring everything into every little detail, we wanted our wedding day to feel special not just for us, but for our guests too. The stationery was one of the most important elements for me and I had a clear idea of what I wanted but no idea how to create it. Zoe (from The Golden Letter) was incredible, she worked on a bespoke stationery suite with us which included invitations, welcome boards, dinner menus, bus tickets (for our evening transport) and personalised wax seals. I knew I wanted to wrap the pillars of No.38 with balloons and fill the ceiling of The Clarence Social with jewel toned balloons and Riot Balloons made my ideas become a reality, the balloons really added to the styling of both spaces and made them come to life. I was recommended to Kirstie (of Ruby & The Wolf) and I felt very lucky to be working with her, Kirstie’s attention to detail was incredible, she styled both venues beautifully. Inspired by the look of many Tuscan weddings. I wanted our wedding colours to be very neutral, with a hint of grey and lots of greenery, Kirstie styled the venues with candles, the touch of gold really added to that luxe feeling and worked perfectly with the rustic tables, antique cutlery, napkins, runners and glassware we hired from Classic Crockery.

The Food

We really didn’t hold back when it came to the food, at No.38 The Park we served our favourite foods - including steaks and chips, chocolate brownies and eaton mess. Guests washed down their dinner with an espresso martini. Our friend Selina (from Cakey Couture) made us a beautiful four tiered wedding cake, finished with greenery, Pinkman’s Bakery in Bristol made our guests their famous sourdoughnuts and Anna (of Cake Couture) finished off our cake table with her bite size cupcakes and cubicakes. At The Clarence Social guests feasted on our burger bar and drank from our “his” and “hers” cocktail menu.

The Photography

We looked at a lot of photographers and felt that many wedding pictures were overly styled and too posed, we felt The Curries struck a balance between shooting really cool, styled photos but capturing important moments, their images really had feeling and a warmth to them. We felt their photos perfectly documented our day. Everyone was at ease with them and we loved having them shoot our wedding.

The Entertainment

e went to an intimate gig in Bath to listen to Brother From Another, we just knew our guests would love them, as a massive music fan himself, Lamont created playlists for the rest of our wedding (with some help from our friend Ross). We had a photobooth for guests to enjoy at our After-Party.
