Planning

At RMW, we don't really jump on board with trends as we like to think that a wedding day is a reflection of your tastes as a couple, rather than what's 'in' at the time. But that doesn't mean that we don't really enjoy seeing gorgeous new styling ideas, and we are very much taken with the 'botanical' weddings we've seen of late. It's all about greenery and foliage, rather than flowers and we love the fresh and crisp look this creates. This is definitely a look that will appeal to those coveting an elegant, classic wedding which is smart and executed to perfection. Think starched white linen, crystal cut glass and silver cutlery for dining. Black tie attire for the guests. A simple but structured wedding gown, and timeless, heirloom wedding jewellery from De Beers.

The Jewellery

Let your pink gold engagement ring be the sparkling pop of colour in your green and white filled day - the Caress Solitaire ring is feminine and beautiful, but is just the right balance between being subtle but still making a statement. However, if you want to make a statement - the Aura Cushion ring is just breath-taking. If you're opting for a gown with minimal fuss, then you can really make the most of your accessories, and we think this stunning ring steals the show. For other Bridal jewellery, the Pavé sleeper earrings would look beautiful with a loosely pinned up hair style, our favourite look with a structured gown and the De Beers Classic pendant will draw eyes to your décolletage - creating that demure but flirty Bridal look.

The Foliage

One of the most spectacular ways to embrace this is with a pure green bouquet. It's still very unusual for Brides to actually opt for this on their big day, but lovely Bride Lia did - her olive branch and foliage bouquet made us go weak at the knees, as did her Grecian style head wreathe, crafted from branches and greenery too. The Decor

Getting married in conservatory style Winter Garden, or Orangery is the obvious choice here, as it really helps to add to the overall look. A few weeks ago we shared a fabulous Botanical Shoot that was very popular - the lush greenery on the chair backs was particularly lovely. (Image by Amy Fanton). Adding a sprig of fern leaves to chairs like in our moodboard above also creates a lovely look. (Image by Aneta Mak). And how about that cake? Sometimes simple is best, and we love this cream frosted one with just a little greenery to decorate each layer. (Image by Mint Photography).

Real Weddings

If you really love this style, have a look at Ella & Magnus' wedding - the botanical table plan in our moodboard is from their big day, and they got this look spot on. (Image by Blondie Photography).
