Planning

Just like bridal fashion and wedding dresses, grooms suits have come a long way in the last couple of years. More and more of our real grooms are embracing their own personal style on their wedding day and opting for a suit, jacket or waistcoat that reflects their personality. We've rounded up some of our favourite looks to inspire all grooms out there just how stylish you could look too. And if you're looking for somewhere to find your suit, make sure to have a look at our recommended suppliers

Patterned Grooms Suits

A patterned wedding suit is possibly the boldest choice a groom could make when choosing their wedding outfit, but if Sam 1's blue patterned blazer and Sam 2's full floral suit are anything to go by you'll be making the right kind of statement! Both of them totally look at ease in their choices and complement the wedding venue and decor perfectly.

Coloured Grooms Suits

A block-coloured suit is possibly the most obvious choice for most grooms when shopping for their outfits. That doesn't mean you have to stick to classic greys, blacks or navy. There are now a plethora of coloured suits available to buy. From crisp whites to pink, burgundy and deep green. Amazing, same-sex couple Imanol & Miquel opted for one of each and look incredible side by side.

Dinner Jacket Grooms Suits

We've long been a fan of black-tie weddings, a tradition slowly finding its way over the Atlantic from America. It's the most formal dress code and usually means the couple getting married have pulled out all the stops. But, again, we've noticed our real grooms have put a spin on this sartorial choice by choosing to wear different coloured dinner jackets. Not content with one jacket (because why should you be, it's your wedding day after all!) real groom Saul said his vows in a white dinner jacket before changing into a plum coloured tuxedo with satin lapels. What a guy. We've also seen grooms in red, grey and green velvet dinner jackets to give an even more luxurious feel to an already suave choice.

Grooms Suits With Horseshoe Waistcoat

There will always be a place in our hearts for a traditional black, navy or grey wedding suit because these choices will complement any wedding theme or colour scheme, be that contemporary, classic or boho. But that doesn't mean you can't have fun with your cuts and accessories. A horseshoe waistcoat is arguably one of the most formal types of waistcoat. The large scoop shows off a lot of shirt and is usually worn with a bow tie. Although real groom Hari totally rocks his with a cream tie.

Wool Suits

Opting to have a wool suit is another way to add a little sophistication to a classic look. The heavy fabric will add depth and warmth and is a perfect choice for both Autumn and Winter weddings. Like material suits, they come in an array of different hues and can be teamed with matching or contrasting waistcoats.

As you can see there are a lot of choices when it comes to grooms suits and fashion, and that's even before you've considered the fit and shape. But in true Rock My Wedding style we've also put together a useful graphic to illustrate all the cuts, cuffs and collars available to you. Happy shopping.
