Taking their wedding back to their roots and tying the knot at Guardswell Farm in Scotland! With 20 of their friends and family staying at the farm, this couple were able to enjoy a few days with their loved ones in the run up to the big day. When the time came for them to tie the knot the bride looked stunning in a Rosa Clara wedding dress with lace back, that she got from the bridal boutique that she used to work in, teamed with a beautifully embellished hairpiece and white and blush flower bouquet. The groom donned a Scottish kilt for the day, with the intimate ceremony followed by a cosy dinner under a canopy of fairy lights and a traditional ceilidh that kept the guests on their feet all evening. A day filled with good food, good company and beautiful surroundings.

What Made Our Day Unique

We are both originally from Glasgow, we were living in Nottingham at the time of planning our wedding but knew we wanted to get married back home in Scotland. Guardswell Farm in Perthshire was incredible - so many of our guests said they had never been to a wedding venue like it! We had over 20 of our closest family and friends staying at the farm in cottages and huts for a few nights, it was lovely to have time to relax before the wedding with our favourite people. We enjoyed midnight drinks on the Guardswell boat on the hilltop overlooking Dundee, the kids loved feeding Hugo and Ollie the farm donkeys and there was hill walking the morning of our wedding.

Guardswell Farm

Guardswell Farm is a stunning venue in Perthshire, with beautiful scenery, rustic vibes and space for guests to stay on site. It was the perfect backdrop to this couples big day who wanted a relaxed celebration in their native Scotland. It may have been Autumn and the weather may have taken a turn for the worse but there was no raining (or hailing in fact!) on this weddings parade, the perfect day for a gorgeous couple!

Inspiration & Styling

We wanted a relaxed wedding day, with amazing food (and lots of it!), good music and beautiful surroundings. We went for a neutral colour palette of whites and greens. The venue is very much DIY and we had to source all our suppliers and set up the venue the day before our wedding. All our lovely family and friends pulled together to help make our day perfect.
