Halfpenny London gowns are always ahead of the fashion curve. When received these images in October last year, we were seriously excited to share them with you all, but we had to keep our lips sealed until now. Previewed at last years New York Bridal Market, as part of Halfpenny London's first stand alone showcase, they've been making waves across the global wedding industry ever since. But then as far as we're concerned Kate's dresses always do, we're proud to have Halfpenny London in our Look Book, where you'll find bridal collections from some of our absolute favourite designers. The Standing On Stardust collection is inspired by the hedonistic club scene of 1970s New York (we know, how achingly cool)?! These gowns are bold with intricate beading, powerful silhouettes, feathers, a gorgeous blend of fabrics and textures, think sumptuous silks, satins, organzas. Sheer vs heavy, creating a perfect balance. If you follow Kate Halfpenny on Instagram, the first thing that comes across, apart from great style, is her love for fabrics and textures. It's instinctive to her, which is why her designs are so recognisable. If you're newly engaged and haven't come across Halfpenny London before then allow me to introduce you. Kate's background is in costume design and celebrity styling. A graduate in Textiles from Central St Martin's, she has dressed the likes of Kate Moss and Rhianna, and it was designing Emilia Fox's wedding dresses (two intricate silk floral gowns) that resulted in an inundation of requests for Kate to focus more on bridal wear. And so, Halfpenny London was born.

Isn't the collection gorgeous? I always love how original Kate's designs are. Where else would you find embellished bees, marabou feathers and THAT open-backed jacket (with such a beautiful drape)? If you'd like to see more dresses from Halfpenny London, you can visit our Look Book pages to see previous collections or head to the Halfpenny London website where you can contact Kate and her team to make an appointment at their gorgeous London Boutique.
