What Made Our Day Unique
We got married in Glenisla, which is a really special place for us. We had a lot of traditional Scottish elements to the wedding, but also mixed in African music, a huge flower instillation and lots of homemade touches. We wanted it to feel fun, relaxed and exciting with a touch of glamour. All the food was vegetarian, and we worked hard to make sure it was delicious and plentiful. We also had a local stonebaked pizza van outside the marquee, which was a massive hit with our guests. We served Buckfast cocktails, so having something to soak those up was essential!
Hanging Flowers
I just love this idea of the hanging flowers in the marquee, it looks truly stunning and definitely left a lot of guests open-mouthed in awe! Bringing the landscapes of the glen indoors, the foliage was collected from the nearby areas and used to create hanging decoration. A perfect place to spend their most special day, with a few surprises along the way including a performance by the bride's sister and friends and some llamas brought in by the bride's mum (no, the llamas werent performing as well)! Instead of place names, the bride meticulously embroidered the names of each guest with a dainty flower onto napkins and it's the attention to detail like this and the personal touches (DIY bar by the groomsmen to name another) that made the day so wonderful!Inspiration & Styling
