Inspiration

A private viewing of an art gallery definitely made this Hauser and Wirth Somerset wedding unique. And even though it was a scorcher of a day, the bride and groom made a super cool entrance at their reception in a bright orange vintage Fiat 500 car, which, as well as the leaf green bridesmaids dresses, added a pop of colour to the big day! The bride looked stunning in a lace-covered Truvelle wedding dress and it was all captured by the wonderful James Frost.

WHAT MADE OUR DAY UNIQUE/strong>

"For us, it was having our friends and family all together in one place to celebrate. We loved seeing them enjoying the different parts of the day, and of course the glorious weather we had been blessed with. During the reception, we had a private viewing of the Hauser and Wirth gallery, and the beautiful Oudolf field. Watching our guests meander under the legs of a Louise Bourgeois (giant) spider and sipping prosecco in the Radić Pavilion was amazing. Later, at dinner, we seated everyone based on common interests rather than traditional groupings. It's been great looking back at photos seeing them all deep in conversation and getting to know each other." - Claire & Joe

Hauser and Wirth Somerset Wedding

Defying normal traditions, this couple seated their guests based on common interests rather than the normal seating plans of who you know at this Hauser and Wirth Somerset wedding. What a lovely way for guests to really get to know one another and to bring two families together! With the venue speaking for itself, the minimal decor was required to make this place look spectacular!

INSPIRATION & STYLING

"We always wanted to have a wedding which balanced the more traditional elements of a wedding with something a little different. Our original idea was to have a relaxed garden wedding with a few personal details from our homes, and our life together in London to make it unique. When we discovered our venue, we knew it was the perfect setting, combining historic and modern architecture, art, beautiful countryside & gardens, and amazing food & drink! When it came to styling, we felt there was no need to add much extra but to let these places speak for themselves. We simply added beautiful flowers from Bramble & Wild, and a few personal touches, with stationery we designed ourselves and old family wedding photos. " - Claire & Joe

If you have enjoyed this wedding by James Frost and loved the epic wedding car, we know you will also absolutely adore this equally stunning wedding we featured recently also by James which happens to also feature another beautiful vintage car!
