Inspiration

Despite all the obstacles that this couple faced (including a bride with a broken elbow) that didn't stop them from having an unforgettable intimate wedding at Healing Manor. The romantic ceremony in the barn with 20 of their closest friends and family was followed by a cosy 8-course tasting menu wedding breakfast with emotional speeches and floral displays (that the couple had transported from the ceremony space) and more amazing candles. The bride looked beautiful in a simple satin dress before swapping to an ASOS sequin show stopper for the evening celebrations, both of which she teamed with designer shoes, now that's outfit goals! And all this planned in just 5 weeks - magic!

What Made Our Day Unique

The setting was so magical. As owners of the business, there was a slight added pressure to do something a little different, but the space has been built for weddings of 100 guests, and we needed to make sure that we didn’t feel like we were stood in an empty room. I’ve always been obsessed with scents and candles are my guilty pleasure...Walking into the barn on our wedding day, I can’t even begin to describe the smell, it reminded me of playing in my Grandma’s garden when I was little. It actually took my breath away a little bit, and I know that I can bring back the scent from that day, by lighting a candle or two. We then took the candles and flowers with us to the reception.

Healing Manor

For one day only, this couple went from being the owners of the beautiful Healing Manor in Grimsby to the bride and groom themselves. The ceremony in the venue's barn was littered with hundreds of handpicked candles with gorgeous scents, so not only did the day look amazing, it smelt amazing too! It may not have been the Italian wedding they originally planned, but this is just as beautiful in its own way, filled with so much love and emotion!

Inspiration & Styling

Throughout the whole process we were pretty laid back, Charlotte perhaps a little too much. Charlotte knows what she wants and doesn’t want and even said all along that her shoes were more important than the dress, because she’ll be wearing those again! What was important was of course the people, followed by the surroundings, food and most importantly wine!

Owning their own venue means that this couple work with amazing suppliers every single day, so planning their own wedding would surely be easy as they know who their favourites are! However, if you aren't in this fortunate position don't worry, we have so many amazing handpicked suppliers that we would definitely recommend right here for you.
