Inspiration

Lesley McCall at The Rustic Wedding Company has us swooning with delight with her beautiful inspiration shoot under an olive tree. The wooden hexagonal arch, in particular, is a gorgeous focal point and paved the way to many more geometric wedding details including terrariums, hexagonal cake stands and table name frames. All of these edgy shapes have been softened with romantic blush pink blooms, cut glass and candles. Sounds dreamy, right? It is!

VISION

Rich in feminine charm, with masculine qualities too. Perfect for modern couples.

UNDER THE OLIVE TREE

"We chose simple, muted tones for our colour palette, using silvery greens, mauves & blush pinks as our accent colours and then added splashes of white & silver to enhance and bring in a luxurious atmosphere to the setting. The main tablescape sits under dappled light from an impressive olive tree in the gorgeous courtyard of Swallows Nest Barn and is charmingly decorated with gunmetal urns filled with gorgeous romantic, seasonal blooms. Textured ranunculus, white roses & long Italian Ruscus greenery absolutely steal the show in the floral arrangements and are complemented beautifully by blush pink eustoma, delicate white waxflower & sprigs of an olive branch. There is an array of romantic cut glass candlesticks, coloured candles and handmade, textural, concrete pots full of sun-loving succulents also on the table. There are muted grey patterned dinner plates and vellum calligraphy place names with soft silky ribbon, cut glass wine glasses and tumblers and a simple stem of an olive leaf to embellish the white napkins." - Stylist Lesley McCall at The Rustic Wedding Company

Hexagonal Arch

If you haven't pinned the hexagonal arch yet, what are you waiting for! Its sturdy wooden frame softened with romantic pink and green flowers is enough to set your heart racing. The perfect altar for your nuptials, top table backdrop and even group portraits. Giving every part of your wedding the wow factor. Like this inspiration, you can even incorporate the geometric shape within other elements of your wedding too with a few choice items. We're definitely eyeing up all the cakes!

CAKE TABLE

"The cake table follows the angular style and showcases a trio of magnificently designed cakes on bespoke hexagonal stands. Cake one is a small semi-naked, cookies & cream flavoured cake, topped with a handmade sugar protea flower, real succulents & filler flowers. Cake two was inspired by the textures of rustic Italian stone and marble and was iced to give a concrete effect with one tier in a hexagonal shape to add interest whilst maintaining simplicity with the second tier. This cake was Salted caramel and chocolate throughout. The third cake was inspired by Italian tiling and mosaics. It has a clean white iced base with grey speckled hexagons edged in edible silver leaf over three sharp-edged tiers. Flavours included strawberry & champagne, lemon & white chocolate and Chocolate Orange." - Stylist Lesley McCall at The Rustic Wedding Company
