These two brides both look amazing, one in a bespoke fitted dress with a cape and the other in a high low wedding dress both clutching jewel colour bouquets. The ceremony was held at the historical Sponza Palace that had been littered with candles and a foliage chandelier with 22 of their nearest and dearest to celebrate alongside them. After the romantic ceremony, the brides took a walk through the cobbled streets of Dubrovnik, a town that already holds a special place in their hearts as it is where they first met and provided the perfect backdrop to the wedding portraits. The brides then joined the rest of their guests for an intimate outdoor wedding breakfast with rustic decor, candelabras and gorgeous sea views!

What Made Our Day Unique

It was an intricate yet perfectly matched puzzle. So many pieces and ways it could’ve been stressful/ go wrong, yet everything went smoothly and without any (visible to us) hiccups. It was a relaxed day filled with a vast amount of love, happiness, and positive energy from everyone involved. From day one all we wanted from our wedding is for it to be an opportunity to celebrate our love and party with our loved ones. To say “I do”, look back at our guests and see people we truly loved and that loved us. To feel as comfortable as possible, and have as much fun as possible. To be freely and unapologetically us, and that’s what we got. Couldn’t have imagined a better day, a better fit - a more perfect puzzle.

High Low Wedding Dress

Both brides at this same-sex wedding chose bespoke dresses for their big day and went for two completely different, but complementing styles, one fitted with a bridal cape teamed with loose curls and the other a high low wedding dress with a pinned updo. The brides were joined by their bridesmaids who wore rusty red dresses that matched to the jewel inspired bouquets. The couple just looked perfect in their stunning portraits around the Croatian city!

Inspiration & Styling

Things that keep us alive are travelling, nature, photography, and dinosaurs. Hence, we knew those would be featured in our day. Keywords ended up being: elegant, clean, modern with a historical twist. Our locations have this unique feel about them with gorgeous sea views and greenery, so we decided to follow and compliment it. Keeping it simple, classy and green. Some ideas came from Pinterest, Instagram and all other necessary evils, but we did use our imagination the most. There was a lot of greenery, sparkling lights, candles, jewelled coloured details... along with some personalised bits sprinkled around the venues. E.g. the lounge area featuring a bridal lama since Cheryl wouldn't get married without one (nearly got a real one), a pup pencil holder representing our third family member, Cookie, that stayed at home, and our fairytale engagement book/maps.
