Inspiration

At home weddings always make us feel all fuzzy inside, especially when the couple go to the extra effort to create homemade wedding decorations too. You can just tell bride and groom, Laura and James, poured their absolute heart and soul into making signs, centrepieces and furniture, and that every one of their guests appreciated all their efforts and had the time of their lives celebrating at their Summer wedding.

What Made Our Day Unique

It was so special having a home wedding and we really wanted to make it feel personal and draw on the beautiful countryside and home surroundings by creating as much as we could from scratch. Homemade items included the pallet furniture, the wedding favours, the table centrepieces, garden decorations, the wedding cake. Even the flowers throughout the church and marquee were arranged by friends. By having so much homemade it felt incredibly special and we were so fortunate to have many friends and family involved in all the preparations. It was a lot of hard work but worth every minute and we had a lot of fun in the days before the wedding getting creative and bringing it all together!

Laura & James - "RMW gave us a lot of ideas and inspiration. We found our wonderful photographer Helen Cawte from their supplier directory, The List, and from our first chat, we knew she would be a perfect fit. We were also very lucky to win an RMW stationery competition with Geri Loves Emi, who created our Save the Dates and Invitations. Her style encompassed our Summer country wedding so well." We absolutely love connecting couples with our wonderful suppliers, providing inspiration, insights and advice where ever we can. Take a look at all our categories on our homepage to ensure you are using RMW as the ultimate wedding planning resource it is.
