The Practicalities Of Having A Winter Tent Wedding
  • Make sure you have enough heating to keep your guests toasty whether that's with marquee heaters, or cosy wood burners that go inside our yurts, they are perfect for guests to snuggle around in the winter months. Rosie - Yorkshire Yurts
  • The fireplace has to sit in the centre of the tent, so that smoke can escape through the smoke hole. When used sensibly an open fire is quite safe, but you must be happy to accept to use it responsibly. We supply virtually smokeless heatlogs to burn, firelighters and matches when you hire one of our fireplaces. Jessica - Stunning Tents
  • Our clearspan marquees are fantastic venues all year around. But how do we keep our guests warm and dry? The marquees are fully lined and carpeted, with a cassette door that can be kept closed to keep the warmth in. Special marquee heaters can be installed to blow in warm air which will heat the marquee. A carpeted walkway to the entrance if on grass will save guests shoes. A ‘tunnel’ effect walkway can also be put in place to get the guests to the marquee, if required. Toilet trailers can be installed ‘under cover’ in an attached marquee, to save guests having to go outside. Tracy - Lulus Marquees
  • Manufactured to withstand Scandinavian winters, our tipis provide a practical and ever so atmospheric alternative to standard winter wedding venues. Layla - World Inspired Tents
  • Make sure you use a reputable marquee company with plenty of experience of installing winter marquees. This ensures that they have a good knowledge of what works in the winter months and experienced staff to install it as well. We always install integral wooden floor for winter weddings as this raises the floor off the cold and damp ground and helps to ensure that guests are warm. Another advantage of this flooring is that we then a lay single use carpet on top of the wooden floor - the carpet can come in a whole range of colours which can be fun when it comes to deciding how to decorate your marquee.
