I first met the lovely Emma Soulsby around three and a half years ago on a floral course in London. She was so kind, passionate and hard working (dropping off flowers before a full day's work if I remember correctly) that I was utterly delighted when fate brought our paths together again - and this time we got to have a proper chat. Emma has worked as a florist for a long time, honing her skills and developing her style, so she's by no means new to the industry, but it's wonderful to see her rebrand as Emma Soulsby Flowers and to share her floristry talents with you all. Not only does Emma create floral magic, but she's also the kind of woman you want to be your friend. She's passionate, genuine and an excellent wine drinking companion. If florals are a really important part of your wedding day, then Emma is the girl for you. Here's a little more from Emma and some photos from her recent launch event...
From Emma: With armfuls of passion, endless amounts of enthusiasm and one flower-focussed vision, I first made my way into the wedding industry in 2012 originally as Ladybird Flowers. After 5 years of working with many wonderful, inspiring couples and experimenting with different styles and floral designs, I felt I had fully established myself as a wedding florist and I knew I was ready for a change. It was time to rebrand and to find myself as a florist. While Ladybird Flowers was the perfect brand name to start my journey as a wedding florist, I felt that it was holding me back creatively. I wanted a brand name that inspired me, while reflecting the fact that I am the creative force behind my work, showcasing my artistic side and work ethic. Teamed with my professionalism, passion and drive for perfection, Emma Soulsby Flowers does just that. I adore working with flowers, venues and clients with a relaxed yet luxurious style. It’s also a huge part of my job as a florist to show couples the impact that flowers can have on their wedding day and in particular, their wedding venue. It is rather magical to be able to take a couple’s vision and turn it into something they didn’t even know was possible. Beautifully captured by Amanda Karen Photography, I launched the rebrand within the wedding industry by styling a private dining event at The Lansdowne for a fabulous group of talented professionals in the wedding industry. Featuring soft and romantic napkins and table runners by Just 4 Linen, stationery by Beyond Vintage and music by Lemon Entertainment, the evening signified the start of something new and wonderful, and I cannot wait to share my new look and brand with couples. To get in touch with Emma please visit her website and drop her a line, she'll be happy to discuss your wedding plans with you.
