Inspiration

Oh my gosh this family unit are off the chart adorable, not to mention super cool, just like this tipi wedding at The Georgian Rectory in Buckingham. Bride Jenny wears Charlie Brear, and Groom Jamie dons a mustard jacket, and complete with their littles are the epitome of goals. Guests were fuelled with Bloody Mary's from the drinks station and treated to tracks by DiscoWed and the vibes look fun and inviting. Capturing all this lovely sentiment is Jackson & Co Photography and Blooming Lovely Films, so get ready to swoon and sigh.

Dress

Jenny the Bride: My dress was Charlie Brear. From swooning over their Instagram to falling head over heels with their dresses in The White Closet in Liverpool, I knew that I’d be wearing Charlie Brear on my wedding day. I bought the dress direct from Charlie Brear along with my veil (which I snatched up in the sample sale!) My shoes were blue (my something blue) from Marks and Spencer. I’m lucky that my best friend and bridesmaid Sadie is the most fantastic make up artist. It was her wedding gift to us to do mine and the bridesmaids make up which was a huge help and a massive saving. Tiffany Burgin has been my hairdresser for years and there was no one else I’d have to do my hair on my wedding day. She does an amazing job and helped keep me calm by bringing all the lol’s with her drama stories!!

Grooms Attire

Grooms jacket and waistcoat were Next, trousers and shoes, ASOS and shirt and tie M&S Pocket watch was a gift given to him from his Grandad the morning of the wedding and is a family heirloom (his great great Grandads!)

Venue

Without a doubt the hardest decision we had to make. We knew we wanted a church wedding, we knew we wanted a tipi (not too far from the church), we knew we wanted it in a “garden” of some sort, we knew we didn’t want it to be too far away from us and we wanted it to be close to a big hotel for all our guests to stay. We really struggled to find something that ticked all the above but then came across The Georgian Rectory in Adstock. Helen and Paul’s gorgeous house is attached to the most beautiful and quaint little church and they have the most AMAZING garden. It also helped that they were amazing from the start and helped us out so much on the run up to the day and the day itself. The tipis were hired from tipis4hire along with all the tables, benches, dancefloor, stage, lighting etc. They’re fab and will really go out your way to help with anything

Colour Scheme/Décor

We didn’t have a colour theme in mind but looking back through our pictures it seems we did. There was a lot of whites, greens, golds, purples and stripes! We did all the decoration ourselves. Apart from the balloons which I’m still obsessed with! It was hard work but looking back I’m so glad we did because every single thing meant something to us on the day. From the Ikea stripe fabric, that my mother in law painstakingly measured and cut and hemmed, as the table runners to the gold palm leaves hanging in the chill out / bar area that we spent hours and hours priming and painting. All the rest of the décor was a collection of stuff from family and friends houses that all just seemed to come together on the day!

Florist

Herbert & Isles. They did the bouquets, button holes, flower crowns, church flowers (which we later took into the tipi) and huge hanging chandelier! They were amazing and somehow created exactly what I had in my head!

Ceremony

Raya wrote us a poem called “what is love” to read out at the church. I’m so glad we did a rehearsal the day before because I cried so much when she read it out for the first time!

Entertainment

We had Daniel Ross who is a friend of a friend. He played acoustic guitar and sang along with a blues harmonica player in the day and then his band in the evening. They were absolutely amazing and had everyone up dancing. We also had Paddy from Discowed who played music through the meal and did the disco from when the band finished. We loved him and he kept everyone on the dancefloor once the band had finished.

Food

Food was Kingfisher Caterers who came highly recommended from the tipi company and rightly so. They were brilliant. We loved that they bbq’d outside while people were drinking and mingling (and playing beer pong!)

Photographer

THE AMAZING JACKON AND CO PHOTOGRAPHY. Michael and Hannah were one of the first things we booked once we were engaged. I came across their website and instantly fell in love. And his name, along with me being a HUGE fan of MJ, was just a bonus. They got us, they got what we wanted, and they delivered! We LOVE our photos and I will often get lost for hours at a time going through them all!

Videographer

Lovely Leanne from Blooming Lovely who is also AMAZING! She also completely “got us”, and seen that we were not only a couple getting married but a family unit coming together. She got the kids involved as much as us and we loved that. Because that is exactly what our day was about.
