Inspiration

"...it really is amazing how a family pulls together and becomes even closer to make your perfect day come true." I thought I'd start with the above statement as it just pulled on my heart strings, and is SO true. Family and friends really can't do enough to help and this was so evident at Jessica & Oliver's peachy wedding at Broughton Hall. With the Brides Father making origami birds, and a life long friend helping design and make the gorgeous wedding bands as well the gorgeous cake stands for the array of cakes on the fabulous dessert table. This whole autumnal wedding is full of love, beaming smiles and the prettiest blooms you ever did see.

Our Story

Jessica the Bride: We have been together for about 5 years and we love to be creative and unique. I knew Oliver through his Sister my best friend since high school, Hayley. I picked Hayley to be my Bridesmaid. When Oliver asked me to marry him it really was a dream come true. We started to plan the wedding of our dreams, well maybe my dream! After loosing my Mum at young age my wedding was always going to be missing a major part, being close to Oliver's Mum Carol was better than anything I could of wished for.

Venue

I had looked at so many venus but none of them stood out, the carpets or the entrance just wasn't right for our wedding setting. Finally we found Broughton Hall Utopia, this place really is one of a kind. With its beautiful setting and gorgeous gardens, the glass windows made you feel outside whilst being inside. We then found the most gorgeous little church just two minuets up the road and what really made the venue perfect was that we could rent Broughton Hall's holiday house Eden to stay over all weekend get ready and relax there. This really was looking like a dream come true!

Decor

I had a vision of a light arty ceiling for our Utopia venue, so I collected pagodas and handmade Vietnamese lanterns leading up to our day and visited car-boot sales and charity shops to collect fine bone china for our afternoon tea wedding breakfast, everything was looking perfect! My Dad made origami birds for the celling, another family member made the cake stands for the afternoon tea and many more did so much to help, it really is amazing how a family pulls together and becomes even closer to make the perfect day come true.

Ceremony

10/10/15 the special date finally came and the weather couldn't of been better, the church service went beautifully, lots of happy tears throughout, the smell of lavender that we had dressed the isle with filled the church.

Food

We had the most amazing caterers who not only made sure all our guests were completely looked after, wined and dined they also made sure Oliver and I got the same treatment and so much more making us feel so special all day long. We also had a cake table as I am the biggest fan of cake, I couldn't say yes to one, we were so lucky to get to design 5 most amazingly delicious cakes including lots of cup cakes for everyone to indulge in.

Wedding Bands

Our wedding rings were handmade and designed by both of us and made by an old high school friend Alice Clarke Jewellery. They were better than I could ever of imagined and both one of a kind.

The Dress

I have to say previously I have never been glittery or into anything sparkly until I found my wedding dress which apparently everyone was very surprised to see me in. I just absolutely fell in love with it. Before finding it I had seen and tried on so many dresses, it seemed that everyone was just telling me not to worry when you see it you will know. I didn't realise how right they had being until I saw mine.

Photographer & Videographer

Everything that we choose for our wedding we knew so strongly was the right decision, choosing our wedding photographer Nicola and videographer Charlotte was no different, we just knew they were the two people who would provide the photos and video to tell our story. Nicola and Charlotte certainly did this, capturing our day perfectly, producing the most natural looking and beautiful photos and videos to remember our day by. We are so lucky to of being surrounded by such amazing people from the beginning, family friends and professionals a like, made our day. Thank you to all of them
