Inspiration

With tropical greenery, lush gardens and picturesque woodlands, you wouldn't have known you were so close to London at this gorgeous Kew Gardens wedding. The ceremony was held in the Nash Conservatory at the pretty venue with the bride's mother walking her daughter down the aisle, followed by a beautiful wedding breakfast and reception in the Orangery. Pink flower displays took centre stage on the dinner tables next to a cupcake wedding cake. The bride chose a simple but elegant bespoke button back dress with a lace top that she removed after the ceremony and was flanked by her bridal party who looked pretty in pink! The summer wedding took place on one of the hottest days of the year, which meant the groom was extra hot in his three-piece suit but made for the perfect day to enjoy drinks on the pristinely manicured lawns!

What Made Our Day Unique

"Getting married at Kew Gardens was pretty unique! Being with our friends and family surrounded by beautiful lush gardens was just amazing, as well as being able to explore the iconic spots like the palm house in our wedding dress and suit! The English weather even decided to take a rare tropical turn and we got married in a glasshouse in 34 degree heat! - Jo & Dan

The London venue is a picturesque escape a stones throw from the hustle and bustle of city life. After the conservatory ceremony, the couple and their photographer had some time to explore Kew Gardens wedding venue to capture the most perfect pictures, from the woodland to the tropical palm house! The couple created a relaxed atmosphere with garden games, a DIY gin bar and sharing plates for the wedding breakfast so the guests could concentrate on enjoying themselves and getting to know one another!

The vibe was a relaxed party in a nice setting - The important thing for us was that everyone had a good time and didn’t feel like they needed to be on their best behaviour. We had lawn games and a DIY gin bar at the reception, and the wedding breakfast was all sharing dishes, which really helped everyone to mingle - all the tables were best friends by the end of the night! Our florist, the amazing Katja, totally understood us and created the most perfect bright, whimsical flower arrangements to create just the atmosphere we wanted.
