Inspiration

When you've got fashion blogger Laura Bradshaw formally Tiny Twisst as the bride you know you're in for a treat. She married her beau Chris at a beautifully styled Spring wedding at Prested Hall in Feering, Essex, celebrating with her loved ones in a beautiful lantern filled marquee reception. The colour palette was soft, elegant pastel shades and echoed in the heavenly fashion and flowers. Laura looks absolutely mesmerising in a lace Sottero & Midgley gown complete with flowers in her hair, and you know how we feel about sequins and tulle, so the bridesmaids Maya gowns are absolute stunners in our eyes. The lovely Kathryn Hopkins gorgeous fine art photography style will transport you in a dreamy place, so sit back relax and enjoy every bit of this pretty wedding.

Dress

Laura the Bride: As soon as I tried on my Sottero and Midgley dress I knew it was the one. I wanted something different with a slight vintage feel - the neckline and lace details on this gown ticked those boxes and I loved the way I felt in it. I went with statement earrings to compliment the high neckline and wore fresh flowers in my hair, finished off with a braided up do. Makeup wise we kept it natural, with a subtle eyeliner flick and a natural lip. I had two pairs of shoes on the day, some beautiful bridal shoes from Rachel Simpson and the fun pair, aka hot pink heels from Topshop!

Grooms Attire

Chris wanted a more casual styled suit for the day so went for a navy checked woolen suit & grey waistcoat from Moss Bros, complimented with a mustard tie and brown shoes.

The Venue

Chris plays guitar in a wedding & functions band so is at wedding venues every week, because of this we wanted to keep the wedding process straight forward and easy! Prested Hall had everything we wanted for our day - a manor styled house with a marquee and beautiful grounds, as well as hotel rooms for our families to stay over. They also take care of all the food and setting up the decorations, so it was easy and kept simple, which was great. The long drive up to the venue is my favourite thing though, it was so exciting driving it one last time for the wedding day!

Colour Scheme/Décor

Our key theme was 'earthy' so the colour scheme were greens, rosey pinks and silver, alongside dashes of mustard and gold. We had a lot of wooden crates for decorations and our table names were all laser cut into wood.

Flowers

We had a rustic feel with wild flowers with lots of eucalyptus but still kept a soft, floral feel with delicate flowers and roses. Our bouquets were all quite big which I loved as they made such an impact. We all wore fresh flowers in our hair and the flower girls had floral crowns which looked adorable! The table decorations were tall vases with lots of wild eucalyptus, greenery and some dashes of flowers - loved how natural they looked. My favourite floral piece was 100% our floral arch. Due to the weather we had to move the ceremony inside on the day and the floral arch kept the outdoors feel we had been after. I just loved walking down the isle towards it. We re-used it behind us during our meal too and it looks so pretty in all the photos.

Wedding Party Fashion

I absolutely loved the bridesmaid dresses, each had a different colour and they were perfect for the earthy theme. The dresses also had a sequin top which was a little different and unique. The groomsmen all matched Chris' suit and the pageboy wore similar colours.

Ceremony

I don't really remember much from the ceremony except trying my best to soak it all up and walk slow - which is always my advice to future brides! It was the best part of the day and I just remember being filled with joy the entire day!

Food

My favourite part of our meal was the most amazing chocolate brownie for dessert, a lot of people agreed too!

Photographer

We love Kathryn's romantic style of photography but also how calm and at ease she put us. Because of this I feel our photos really capture us as a couple and show how happy we were on the day. We definitely didn't want anything too posed and awkward! Chris also shoots weddings so we were very picky when it came to the photos and Kathryn definitely got our seal of approval. She was a joy to have around us all day and I definitely look at the photos on a weekly basis, haha! :)
