Darren Gair of 'The Last of The Light' has joined our handpicked wedding supplier directory, The List and we're chuffed to bits about it. A master of capturing stunning, natural portraits just as well as the fun moments, we knew this was a storyteller we simply had to introduce you to. Without further ado... My name is Darren Gair and I live with my wife Clare, who I unfortunately gave a rhyming surname to as a wedding gift. We have 2 children; Amaya, who was named after a beach close to where we got married in Sri Lanka and Albie, who was named after my late Grandad. I have always been a people's person, people fascinate me, the way they behave and respond with one another, I guess that's why I make a good wedding photographer, I consider myself an observer. And as with all great observers, it's very important to blend in and go unnoticed so that the story can naturally take place. That's why my style of contemporary, romantic wedding photography stands out. It's unobtrusive, honest and truly documents an event through the media of photographs as it happened. block

“We were incredibly impressed with Darren, many of the guests mentioned how great he was, and spending time with him for our personal shots was one of the highlights of the day. Darren is incredibly professional, and it’s clear from the way he conducts himself and from the quality of the photos, he is an immensely talented photographer. He was snapping away throughout the day with his duel-wielded cameras – subtle when he needed to be and friendly and social for the more relaxed parts of the day. He captured every single special moment from the day, and he soon became part of the party/one of the guests.”

Mr & Mrs Baker - August 2016

“From the moment with met Darren and saw his amazing work we knew he was a perfect fit for our wedding. Darren is so laid back and i felt so at ease knowing our photographs would be truly beautiful. We wanted a second photographer and highly recommend every bride groom do this. Darren only uses established photographers, Its so nice looking back at our photographs that the bride and groom get to see each others build up. Darren like his wedding attire is quirky and fun and will capture your day perfectly. Darren should have 10 STARS.... After the wedding we received a slideshow to music which i cried with happiness, plus a preview and a wedding box. Truly talented and will recommend to anyone"

Mr & Mrs Hobbs - June 2016

“We first saw Darren at our friends wedding back in 2014 and I knew then he would be our wedding photographer. On our day he put me at ease, he was down to earth and made it look effortless. Our guests couldn't rate him enough! He captured everything we wanted. Simply amazing pictures that we will cherish forever, the comments we have received have been wonderful. Please if you are considering booking Darren do it - you wont regret it. Thank you a million times Darren, we hope to see you again some day.”
