Inspiration

Originally looking into a destination wedding, Hayden & Lucy decided to change direction completely once they happened upon Lulworth Castle. With a Château feel, this beautifully light and open venue provided everything they envisioned for their special day. Wanting a romantic vibe, the couple opted for plenty of candles, lots of foliage and a birch tree wrapped in fairy lights provided by their florist, Rabbit & Rose. Hayden & Lucy also took a trip to France with their bridal party before the wedding, buying wine and champagne for the day! (With enough leftover for a BBQ the day after the wedding…) Their wedding also featured plenty of personalised touches, such as Lucy wearing her mother’s veil - love! Oh, and be sure to check out the bridesmaids’ reactions when the bride reveals herself… we’re not crying, you are.

What Made Our Day Unique

Our day included many personal touches: Lucy wore her mum's veil and Lucy's dad escorted her to the ceremony in his car, we replaced the flags outside the front of Lulworth Castle with some personalised flags that Lucy's mum and sister surprised us with, and our favours were local fudge. We set up a gin bar for the reception, and we also drove to France with some of our bridal party to buy all of the wine and champagne for the day (and had plenty leftover for the BBQ the day after our wedding!)

Lulworth Castle

Set in the heart of Dorset, Lulworth Castle is all those whimsical and romantic vibes you’ve been looking for. This stunning venue gives you the freedom to add all your own personalised touches, such as your floral arrangements, to the food you eat, to evening entertainment - this allows you to truly see your wedding day vision come to life. Lulworth Castle also lends itself perfectly to those who wish to spend plenty of time outdoors on their day (and get those all-important wedding day pictures!).

Inspiration & Styling

We initially wanted a destination wedding and had some viewings booked in France, but once we saw Lulworth Castle we knew we had to get married there! The light, open, venue had a Château feel and we still spent a lot of our day outdoors - champagne was served in the gardens as guests arrived and our reception drinks were on the lawn, with views of the sea! We wanted a romantic vibe, so had plenty of candles. We also incorporated lots of foliage and loved the birch trees wrapped in fairy lights that our florist supplied. There are moments during the planning process when you worry it may not all work together, but it all came together even better than we had imagined.

If a romantic wedding vibe is what you’re after, then look no further for a little inspiration. This beautiful shoot is set in a modern summer house, complete with accent colours of pink & gold. Hayden & Lucy also opted for a Black Tux look (which we love) - find a little more of that sophisticated style at this beautifully classic London wedding!
